I Ran The Michigan Mile With My C BS
Each day was limited to about 35 cars, on the first two days people were getting to make 6+ passes which anyone who has attended one of the airstrip events knows is a decent number of runs. on Sunday I only made 4 passes because the first session got cut short due to a car crashing on the return road/taxi way(yep, I am not kidding, the return road
) and I was quickly icing between runs. The races were run in conjunction with the airshow so cars would run for about about an hour, then we would have to wait a couple hours for the airshow stuff and then we would run for another hour or so and so on. My first pass was a 190.51mph, second pass was a 193.33mph, third pass was an identical 193.33(what are the odds) and fourth pass was only 185.70mph(terrible wheel spin up over 100mph). I took 3rd place overall in the event, 2nd place was a tt Nissan 300ZX that went 194mph, and 1st place was a Switzer R1K GT-R that went 213mph.
Jake from Eurocharged was out there with his E55 but not sure what he was trapping. Eurocharged was an event sponsor. Thank you to him and his crew for welcoming us into their sponsor tent and sharing some cold soft drinks between runs.
This is the fourth airstrip event I have attended this year and it by far had the best track surface and the longest and widest track 150ft x 10,000ft. The event was well organized considering it was their first big event. Having done so many of these events I have seen it all, the good aspects and the bad aspects. I have a few suggestions that I will be forwarding to the event organizers for future events, like next time make it a side by side event if possible, and allowing crew members into final staging area, but all in all it was a great event. Hopefully they will do a little better job of promoting their next event and get some even faster cars out to their next one, I will be entering my CLK in their next event for sure. The only reason I did not run the CLK was they do not allow DR's or skinnies and that is all I have for the CLK with it's current brake and suspension set-up.
I will post a link to the official event results as soon as they post it.

Gad you made it out man, I will have to keep ya informed of other events like this that we are doing.
The car sounds like a freaking fighter jet as its rolling...I will have to get some video up that I got when I was at the finish line.
...and his car was barely even making a sweat...could have pushed it way further..
