Tempting...If it was me I'd have to wait for the insurance to go through before I could afford another one. That one there may be gone by that time. May consider contacting other dealers in the region and see what they've got coming in over the next couple months, may get one closer to what you'd like.

Forgot to say this for the 3rd time: Sorry about the loss of your car, but glad you were able to prevent loss of life. Way to look out for those in the other car.

He called back and said he'd do 84k on this one, or I could come in and build one and get it in 6 months.

I told them I'd give them a refundable deposit to secure a car if I decided on one, but that I wouldn't commit to a car till I had something in my hand from my insurance that says I'm free and clear of my other car. I'm gonna call some other dealerships and see what they can do.

Well done Anthony,..it was a great thing that you did.

The only important option thats missing appears to be LSD.

Have you considered changing into a coupe? You could get a used 2013 or 2012 with low miles and spend the extra money on goodies.

Just my 2 cents,
Oleg

I have not done a lot of research on pricing but I think he would do 80k. I would wait to make sure the insurance money is coming and then take your time. Time and patience is your best negotiation tool.

This one is the full Distronic plus package, not just blind spot. I ordered it on my car too, and to me it's the biggest bang for the buck feature I've ever seen. I can get on the highway, set it, and if there's traffic it will slow the car all the way to a stop if traffic gets bad enough. Then take off again from a standstill once traffic starts flowing again with just a nudge on the gas. That's just the beginning, it has some impressive safety features as well. Watches traffic in front of you to alert you of braking action if it detects you aren't slowing...and primes the brakes for the precise amount of braking necessary so once you tap it, it knows how much to use...then if you don't hit the brake at all, it hits it for you. Also uses opposite side braking to bring you back in the lane if you accidentally veer out of it (think falling asleep or not paying attention). Tightens seatbelts if collision imminent, it's all pretty incredible. The new version of Distronic coming out on the S class is ***** impressive.

No LSD? I missed that earlier. I'd definitely build order one I wanted and ensure it had it. Unless you were planning on putting an aftermarket LSD in. However, I will be driving mine in the winter in light snow...

Once I knew all it did, I immediately called my dealer and opted to equip my build with DISTRONIC plus. It's hugely action packed (as you articulated above) for the money. I ordered the AMG Media as well as it was a close second bang for the buck option, and I think it'll make the car more desirable if I want to get out of it (which I don't believe will happen for some time).

I think the problem is they know that realistically they aren't going to have a difficult time selling the few 507 Editions they have already coming in. I got them down to $83.8k from $88.2k.

The other option on the table is just getting another 2013 C63. There is one that has all the options I want (P31, LSD, multimedia, etc) for 82k and they said they'd do $75k on that one.

Still feeling really indecisive about which to go for...

Decisions decisions?
What is the color & trim & options in the '12 C63?
For sure, you may be 20HP down but ya ain't gonna notice that.....and your price for 507 does not include LSD which is a must have in a car like this.
I ain't knocking the 507, but there are some aspects I'm not keen on, stripes, blacked out trim, I can take or leave the wheels, but I LOVE the BS bonnet!
So, what are the FULL details of the '12 C63?.....We have one!!!..P31, LSD, 19" M/spokes, keyless go etc ....Perfect....IMHO of course!!
They say they'll do $75K?.....I reckon they'll do better.....but that's up to you...You'd be amazed at the margin in some of these cars.
Cheers, Pickles.

Ended up deciding against the 507 edition. While I love the hood on that thing, being realistic with myself, that's really the main draw to it, and just not work the price they want.

Got him down to 74k on a 82k 2013 Coupe Obsidian Black/Black leather interior with all the same options I had on my last 2013 (P31, LSD, Multimedia, Lane tracking, keyless go, etc) . Puts me at ~81k out the door with taxes and fees and everything included. I figure if I really want that 507 hood, I can probably buy one from the dealership, or get an aftermarket carbon fiber one.

Like you, I contemplated the purchase of the 507 to replace a 2nd gen, '11 Cayenne S. Looking at what the 507 brought to the table it didn't make sense for $10k or more on upgrades I didn't need (other than the 507 hp). Went the same route as you two weeks ago on a P31 '13 sedan, everything but parktronic/distronic and got out the door at $73k before TTL.

So when are you picking up the new ride? You'll need the LSD for the Oakland Speedway.

Now you gotta go through your break in period again.

Congratulations, You've done well mate.
Nothing wrong with a '13 C63 with those options.

If you go on the MBUSA website and 'build your own' 2014 C63 coupe, there's no LSD option - even with the 507 package, unless I'm just missing something. Does that mean that LSD isn't available on '14s ?

LSD is an option.

The "Build" tool on mbusa for the Edition 507 doesn't really work. The porcelain/black dynamica/leather set-up and the Magno Platinum paint weren't available.

Or maybe I'm just missing something...

I only see the ability to build a 2013 C63 - where are you guys at on MBUSA.com to see you can build a 507 car?

You're on the right track - look over at R top hand corner and click on the "AMG" link. That will take you to a separate site and you can configure there. As stated, the only thing not showing up is the AMG media package.
