I am definitely wearing only a speedo and my Steelers wresting mask I bought in Mexico, drunk on a beach somewhere. That's cuts down on weight and makes me feel like Ricky Bobby & Nacho Libre combined into one, improves my RT as a confidence booster.
"You've got to learn to drive with the fear. There ain't nothing more frightening than driving with a live cougar in the car. If you're calm, that wonderous big cat will be calm too. But if you're scared, that beautiful death machine will do what God made it to do, namely, eat you with a smile on its face."... Ricky Bobby.

I won't be able to make it. I'm in the process of moving. I've run at the motorolex before and they definitely are strict about the "dress code". I used to use an old open face helmet and put sweat pants over my shorts in the staging area. No one ever said anything after that. If you guys go again I'm in for meeting up

because of MBWorld, I know there are a lot of c63 in the metroplex but i never see any of you guys. guess its because im nestled into the west side of fort worth. i saw a matte black c63 black series going down university a few months ago though. no idea who it was?
we have cls 63's all over the place over here though
seems like they are all black with red breaks. or maybe im just seeing the same one over and over with someone else driving lol.

I went and bought a helmet yesterday. If the weather holds out I plan to go. Pic attached of what the car looks like.

Since I totally jacked this thread, might as well finish it. Sorry. Track just closed due to rain. Which will be dry within 10 minutes because of the excessive heat down here. Will shoot for next Friday.

I left Carrollton about 6:45 and was really surprised when I go to Crandall to see it closed because of rain!! Nice cruise with the family anyway, stopped and bought them ear plugs on the way there and ice cream on the way back LOL.
Ready for next week hopefully.

Dawwww, that's both the saddest and most heartwarming story I've ever heard involving drag racing. Granted, there aren't many stories about drag racing. Was it completely soaked as they claimed? I imagine it's dry as a bone by now.

I have lots of experience with them. They are a great shop. A bit pricey but less than a stealership. Superb customer service and NEVER had a problem with their work. They do their work, wash your car and drive it up front for you. Plz tell Nerces that I referred you. I don't get anything for it other than good will. You'll have a good indie, he'll appreciate the referral - and both of you will be happy with me. All good all around.

I don't have any experience at the Garland locale but I have taken numerous cars to both Park Cities (Love Field) and Plano. Steve (no longer at Autoscope, now at Boardwalk Ferrari Maserati) was kind enough to let me bring my Acura to them for simple stuff. I was happy to be the only Japanese car on a lift :-)
Mostly I go to the Plano locale now. Park Cities is newer and nicer but both have competent technicians. I even used them for pre-purchase inspections. The first C63 I took to them had transmission issues. I felt a little slip during shifts and they confirmed it. $200 well spent. Paid another $200 and got a three thumbs up for my current C63.
