Yesterday I did this by accident actually. Open your trunk, look down toward the front of the floor cover and see the recessed plastic handle piece on there. Ok open it up so you can see inside the spare tire / battery compartment. That plastic piece opens and has a plastic fold out hinge on it that will grab the trunk lid rubber trim and hold the cover up while you are working in the lower compartment getting out spare, accessing battery, etc...

2013 P31 4 door family car.
while in gear, while on the brakes push the brake a little harder and it will say hold on the cluster, you can then take your foot of the brake and it will hold you there til you press the gas.

2011 C63 AMG
My 2011 c63 doesn't seem to want to do this. I have tried and tried. My 2012 S550 does this and says hold on the dash. Is this a facelift so 2012 and on feature on the C63?

I've been reading so much about the car in anticipation of its arrival I'll be surprised, but still excited, to learn of anything else. I've read that the car senses when the brake pads are wet and will gently apply them to dry them (maybe that was for the wife's GLK). All I know is MBs come with a lot of hidden technologies as passive safety features.

On mbusa.com it has it under the "Adaptive braking technology," which is standard on the C63 (2013 and 14 atleast).

For older models, 2011 and back?, if you have the Ipod integration, you also have that secret audio input to tap into hidden in that access point to the right of the glove compartment.
I bought a 6' extension cable and leave it rolled up in the storage net by the floor when not in use.
