Coilover DIY install, any pointers?
I just got my new set of KW V3 coilovers this week. Pending the arrival of my new wheels, I'll be installing these myself. Never done a coilover install, though I can't imagine it'll be THAT difficult. Any suggestions/tips/caveats I should know going into this project? I'm going to set aside a full weekend in the upcoming weeks to work on this, though it shouldn't be more than a day.

Sweet! You need proper tools I would say first: impact gun, sockets, wrenches, torx 55, floor jack, jack stands, WD40 (for rusty bolts) to name a few.
I would say front should be easier than the back due to one bolt near the exhaust.
There is a DIY for installing springs which will help you remove your OEM.
Now the only difference is you have to change your shocks as well. In the front the whole unit comes out, in the back springs and shocks are separated.
My advice is take your time

Hhhhmmmm! If you figure out how to do it... PLEASE post a DIY thread. I have c/o just sitting around and would love to do it myself. Though a guide would be very helpful.
As for the rear, yeah those might take some time to get them on and off.

Some information in this thread for lowering springs from the W204 forum that will also help for a coil over install. GL

Its not that hard , Me and Dodger did mine in a few HR's .
Rear is harder to do but once u have the stock out the Kw's go rite in just install the long bolt the opposite way so its easier for next time if u want to adjust the rear.
Also on top of the rear Kw's in the trunk , where they screw up to the car u can drill a hole so u can adjust firmness without taking the whole thing out again.
And make sure when u do the rear don't pinch the tube that does from gas tank to the front of the car. (Tube that lets the fumes out of the gas tank , if u pinch it u will get cel)
FYI we also took out the rear bumper to make life easier , that's pretty easy to take out as Long as u have the rite tools .
And when u do the fronts don't snap anything, very fragile piece that adjusts the headlight when u turn the car on (light go up and down if u snap it they will stay down )
Let me know if anything else I can help .
