I have about 700 miles thus far on my new '13 C63 sedan. I'm loving everything about the car except the iPod/iPhone cable.

When I plug the cable into my iPhone 4, I hear an audible notification from my phone that it is charging. However, I will continue to hear that notification every couple of seconds. It's like there isn't a solid connection.

Furthermore, when I try to select Media Interface under the Audio menu (with the phone plugged in), I get a message that basically says there is no device connected.

I've unplugged the cable from the center console and re-plugged it back in to no avail.

What am I looking at here potentially? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Has anyone else had this issue?

Broken cable. Had this same problem in my CLS, faulty cable at delivery. Parts swapped for a new cable, all fixed.
