straight pipe pro, what does this bar do?
What does this bar do? If i take it off or add and exact ring to make it lower, will it effect the performance of the car?
Because right now the mid pipe is hitting this bar and it crate some weird noise while im in slow speed. Need some help guys

I left it in place when I was removing my cats. It was blocking the way since I couldn't get the weld done so I unbolted the exhaust to work on it. I don't think it has any use though

Highly unlikely they added something to the car that has no purpose, my guess would also be to stiffen the chassis.

its just a brace for more rigidity. Its on all the c-class's so obviously it serves a purpose. benz isnt going throw money away on parts that "do nothing". you could get a longer bolt for it and put some washers between to space it down a hair. Either that or your engine/trans mounts are collapsed allowing them to hit at times.
