A45 AMG
Okay Peeps
Took the wifes A45 for a run at the weekend and to get any sense out of it , you have to either have it in S+ mode or pull padel to drop gears to make the baby move!.....
Having had 2 x C63"s now 2008 model and the 2102 Model with Performance pack, Ive no idea why Autocar Europe would advise that the A45 AMG is as quick as a C63 [ Absoultely no way]
The A45 does feel very responsive in the correct gear, but the fuel consumption was not very good for 2 Litre.
As you can see from the photo we drove out of town and did 200miles and I set the Cruise Control at 78mph and it was averaging 29.1mpg [A similiar trip in the C63 will give me 23.3mpg at same speed]
The jury is still out here and I will see how it goes with more miles on the clock current 670,
Although I never bough these cars for their Fuel Figures , there is no danger that the A 45 will do 40mpg unless diving with slippers and at 45mph

Very interesting to hear. I expected it to have some turbo lag with 26 PSI going into such a small engine and making the power it does.
Maybe it's as fast as the C63 from a dig since it has all wheel drive.
Can't wait to see what the aftermarket does with this new engine.
