Satin Guard wrap is it worth it?
I'm considering Satin Guard in my car,but I'm a little disappointed with the vinyl wrap in my car and I'm going to remove it. I'm thinking of getting satin guard or just keep it stock. I like the idea of having a layer of protection.
But it needs to look perfect. Dose anyone has first hand experience with Satin Guard?
Will appreciate any feed back.
Thank you
JV

Your car looks great in pics but it's hard to pick faults from pics
Even here in melb I saw a 458 and it was wrapped baby blue and it looked crap close up
I say wrap ur car in almost the same colour just a matt or something but leave it close to so u can't tell the faults

Satin Guard looks 1000x better than vinyl in person. I used vinyl on my 2010 C63, never again. My last cars were all satin guarded, and it looks like OEM paint up close.

And a post I made comparing satin guard vs vinyl vs paint.

Neoprufrok has Satin Guard on his C63BS and it looks WAY better than a vinyl wrap when I saw it in person. I would do it to mine, but the local shop wants like 7-8k for it and I'm having a hard time justifying that much money for it, haha.

Ive got it on the c63 i bought - it was already installed. I had to get the front bumper replaced and new clear shield installed. The installer said he loved doing the satin guard because its so thick and forgiving compared to regular clear bra stuff. So far its held up great no yellowing, cleans up quickly. Almost brings out the metallic in the silver more especially in bright lighting.

I have it... and I love it. It is actually relatively easy to take care of. However, do NOT stick decals on top of it and leave it on. I had some for the rally and I can't get the shadow out... I'm gonna try "polishing" the wrap soon.
No fingerprints.. but it does scratch. But at least I know the paint is protected and I can just replace or take it off later.

Did they cover the carbon fiber parts?
Thank you

I wrapped all my CF pieces in the normal (non matte) film. I tried a small piece on the CF and it was too much matte for my tastes. It looks similar to Audi's dry carbon in looks.
Regardless of matte or gloss preference, definately get the CF wrapped. Rock chips makes the CF pieces look really really bad. Think pitted headlights.

Before starting another thread, has anyone installed a clear front bumper/hood protective film that they would highly recommend? I've been doing some research i.e. XPEL and others but thought I'd ask the pro's here for opinions.
Thanks all
