Benz are in the business of selling as many cars as they can - especially the C-class which is their bread and butter car.
The new C-class will be guaranteed to be superior to the last generation no doubt. It will also have to be better than its competition which already is superior than the current C-class.
It needs to be better in order to attract current C-class owners to WANT to upgrade, not just draw from the competition.
I await pics of the new coupe.
The only doubts I have is that the car has grown significantly in length, the rear of the car I haven't really had a good look at and that the c63 version may lose some of the sound of the current iteration.

I agree. I'm pretty sure it will be superior to the W204 in every way. As for the sound, maybe it won't be as nice as the current 63, but I bet it will be good enough for me. You have to compromise somewhere.

The front is nice. I guess the rear will have to grow on me. The LED's will look very nice at night. The AMG variant will look a lot more aggressive I'm sure. I definitely will be ordering it as soon as it becomes available to order!
