New guy, some questions...

Hey guys, near future 507 owner here, picking one up in the spring!

There are a few things I would like to do to the car, first of which being getting rid of the god awful exhaust tips. Not a fan of the ovals and how they stick out past the bumper... I noticed the Black Series diffuser with the integrated tips and was curious as to if this would fit on the stock 507 rear bumper? Where can I get an OEM one, how much are they and does anything need to be done to the stock exhaust system to fit it? Otherwise I'll be looking into getting the Akrapovic exhaust (still stick out but nicer design).

Secondly, I will be winter driving the car, so I am curious as to if 18" rims can be fitted to the car. I'm looking at TSW Nurburgring rims and I'm not sure what tires I'll be looking for as the two wheels are different widths. I can't find a set of tires that will fit staggered (front rim is 8 wide and rear is 9.5 wide, if I'm not mistaken). What do you guys run?

Congrats on the 507. Are you not being offered the winter wheel package as part of your purchase? You should look into it. You may be taking delivery too late? That package uses front OEM AMG rims on all four corners with 235/40/18 tires I believe. If you get aftermarket rims you can get 4 fronts and do the same thing for the winter. If you do a staggered package you might find choices for the rear more limited or having to run a stretched tire on the rear.

You can get the C63 BS diffuser from the dealer. There are some online sellers that may be cheaper. You will have to cut the tips off the stock exhaust and I think modify the pipes a bit to line up with the tips in the diffuser. Others have done it on here but I am not exactly sure how much work it is to get them lined up.

Going to be a long winter....LOL

Those are not Akrapovik tips, it is full Akrapovik exhaust with Renntech headers and cat less down pipes. There is no sound like it on earth!

Exhaust tips

You mean something like this?

Sorry for the thumbnails, I don't know how to place them bigger, I am new on this forum…

I have the Akrapovic, but I have to cut off the end of the tips, otherwise it will not fit in my modified black series kit...

I'm not buying it until the spring and I'm certainly not buying winter tires for an AMG from a Mercedes dealer for $5000 when I can get them for $2k haha

I got tires for 650 USD from Tire Rack, the dealer rips people off and are counting on old, lazy money to buy their winters.

Selling non genuine E63 tips. $350 I believe. There are pics if you scroll down past the first post! They look pretty nice...But as far as i know, youre going to have to cut some of the piping to make them fit.

I strongly believe that merc did a fantastic job with how the c63 sounds... I considered Agency Power and Akrapovic exhaust systems when I first bought my car, but then realized that the sound coming out of the car is actually perfect. Just my 2 cents. I would just get new tips, and then work on making the car sound louder... with reso/2nd cat deletes + headers or something

I've ordered a cheap pair of Mam rims...18x8 all around. Tire shop attendant said most winter tires are made narrower to help cut through snow easier. Not sure if the 8's will be able to handle the torque, but I won't be driving it anywhere near hard if it is below 32 F.

I have a few different options for exhausts whenever you're ready! Just let me know and I'll show you all the tip options!

I ordered them here in Holland from the Mercedes dealer.
They are original parts, it was not cheap: 1300 euros….
PM me if you want them….
