Coolant type question
Guys what kind of coolant do I need for my 63?
My light came on and called both mb dealers in my home city and both are closed...they won't open unitl Tues bc of the long weekend.
I need to drive my car this long weekend and don't want to be running low on coolant until I take this bad boy in to check for the headbolt issue.
Any of you guys got an idea what I should put in there for now? The coolant in the res is yellow...I've seen some nasty things where guys put yellow coolant into yellow coolant and the whole thing turns into jello...

Just went to my local store and they had prestone that says you can mix with any color/any coolant...

Use MB 325.0 if you can for coolant top up and mix it 50/50 before adding to the coolant reservoir. This will maintain the service life of the coolant.
If you cannot get the MB coolant use a high quality ethylene glycol based coolant with corrosion inhibitors compatible with aluminum and specifically formulated to protect aluminum parts.
