2016 Mercedes-Benz GT Could Deliver 493hp With 4.0-liter TT V8
The upcoming 2016 Mercedes-Benz GT, while not a true successor to the SLS AMG, will replace the SLS at the top of the Mercedes-Benz range. However, while the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is only currently offered in a handful of different performance specifications, most notably the regular car and the Black Series, the car’s replacement could take the fight to the complete Porsche 911 range.
Sit atop of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GT range will be a true competitor to the Porsche 911 Turbo. Currently pinned to be the first Mercedes-Benz to feature the brand’s new twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter modular V8, the range-topping GT should deliver around 493 hp. This engine is then set to be shared for the upcoming next-generation Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG also due out soon.
While peak horsepower of the Mercedes-Benz GT is down on the car it replaces, torque is said to remain around the same and thanks to the twin-turbocharges, peak torque should arrive below 2000 rpm. By comparison, peak torque on the SLS AMG is found at 4750 rpm.
Mated to this new engine is predicted to be a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox mounted with the rear axle assembly. Consequently, the GT is said to receive a 48-52 front-to-rear weight distribution. Thanks to the new supercars lightweight construction, the Mercedes-Benz GT could weight around 1550 kg, which is 145 kg less than the SLS AMG.
According to reports, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GT could debut at next year’s Formula One German Grand Prix before going on sale in 2015.

I believe there's a software update for SLS non GT owners to update to the better shifting.

im just curious...with the E63...its obviously not a 6.3 anymore...so how come they kept the "63" ? for marketing purposes? kinda always wonder what they'd rename the C63 too...I know they have the C55

No, i havent but I sure hope they corrected it. The standard SLS I drove at the ADA was terrible, esp on downshifts. I heard they didnt give the same update as the GT though, as there was that long discussion on the PL

2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe' '99' Audi A4 Avant Quattro 2.8 DD
I found this article & in here it says 4.4 liter. Probably a misprint but I hope this one's right...a little larger engine is even better.

They better not price it more then the base price of the jaguar f type coupe r. It will not sell good with Audi r8 and aston martin vintage v8 s at 130k or gt3.

Its more car than the R8 V8 and Vantage V8....the Jag is a steal in the price range....guaranteed it'll be over $130K

Mercedes is trying or should I say the c190 chassis is not proven or exclusive in terms of styling prestige as the Aston Martin vintage or the r8 to justify a 130k entry level to that hype.

Thanks for posting, callmiro! Great shots.
Some revealing things I noticed:
There is room for the gear selector to be on the center console (behind the touch pad and COMAND controller) on the W205 C63, as evidenced by these photos.
The steering wheel shape is going to be the same in the standard W205 C-Class, the GT, and the new W205 C63. Gone is the flat bottom AND flat top design. That's a shame.
Furthermore, just like what was seen with the recent spyshots of the W205 C63, the 4-piston fixed caliper rear setup on the SLS has been replaced by a single-piston sliding caliper. That pretty much guarantees the loss of the 4-piston fixed rear calipers on the C63 as well. Which is unfortunate.
BMW's brakes for the M3 are getting bigger (4/2 and 6/4 setups are offered, with the latter being combined with carbon ceramic rotors), whereas AMG's brakes are getting smaller.

It's all speculation at this point. If it's supposed to be the range topper then it'll have less power than the everything short of a CLA, the bottom of the range. Wouldn't make sense. They're certainly not going to compete with the 991 Turbo with that low a number.

Ya I agree.
My personal thoughts is the new SLS should be around 550hp range and the new C63 maybe 480-500hp.
