New HREs
Not surprisingly, I got new wheels for my cars...I decided to just post up pics of the wheels so you guys can see the finishes/styles in case you thought of these for your car. I wanted to spare you pics of the hated BMWs but at least (as a former E55, C63 and CLS63 owner) share images of something that is universal to all of our cars: wheels.
Wheels were purchased from HRE's West Coast Distributor -- Wheel Enhancement in Los Angeles.

(310) 836-8908
The wheels are...
P40SCs in Satin Bronze:
and
S104s with a Satin Charcoal face and a Gloss Charcoal lip

they look sick! how long did delivery take? the CF10s i ordered have taken 15 weeks now...probably going to do a charge back at the end of the month if I don't get them and maybe grab a pair of HREs only aslong as they don't take 4 months to deliver

For 4-6 times the price of your CF10's a set of really nice HRE's better not take that long

are they seriously 15g's+? AVD.1s aren't even near that cost...I spoke to AVD and they priced me out like 7-8k for a nice set of wheels and tires...the 5k I paid for CF10s isn't too far off

4k for the rims + tires...+ the $1700 i just had to put out on new tires because the CF10s haven't come in yet...I can post the invoices as per request if you don't believe me...I wouldn't have had to buy new tires if the CF10s didn't take forever to come in

HRE's customer service and products are top notch and except for one set of Klassens I purchased a few months back, I would never buy any other brand -- but that doesn't mean there arent other good brands out there (BBS, Volk, etc.).
Much appreciated!!!

Mine took about 3.5-4 weeks.
My wheels were not $15k and I dont think any HREs cost that much. I wouldn't even mention ADV1 in the same breath as HRE...but as an HRE loyalist/fanboy/whatever that opinion should hardly be surprising.

I will just say there has never been anything written or said about ADV1 as to their products or customer service, that would entice me to buy their wheels. Some people like their wheels, marketing, etc. I do not. And will leave it at that. Like anything else, it comes down to personal taste as to the wheel's design, quality and pricepoint.

ADV1 is a wheel brand despised by most BMW guys. If you head over to BimmerPost you will see the tremendous amount of feedback on ADV1 Wheels.
To sum it up:
Cracked Wheels
Poor Customer Service
Delayed build times
Misleading certifications. ADV1 Stated they were TUV certified, which they are not.
Pretty scary stuff for such expensive wheels. Stick to the real wheel brands.
BBS / HRE / WORK / Rays / ADVAN

I guess I'm blessed to have only dealt with HRE. Their customer service is top notch. Their refinish quality is as good as new and the original quality of their products is street and track proven. Light, strong, and beautiful.

Do a search here and see how they got owned by your ancestors. Well let me do that for you.

The advice i have for my fellow MBWorld posters is never to buy any product from Miami AKA the Banana Republic. Customer Service doesn't exist but the mentality that the customer comes "last" does. There are so many fly by night wheel companies down here. Every wheel company based in Miami has had customer service issues. Unfortunately is was 360 forged that started it all.
ADV1 is outsourced to MHT in California with inner and outer barrels from China. In fact the famous ADV 5.1 five spoke wheel design was a old design based off the Niche Sport (also made by MHT). They took a inexpensive rim and kicked up the price a couple of grand!
I cant believe some people would compare their wheels to HRE. The only thing they have in common is price!
And im pretty sure HRE would spring for a booth at SEMA and not host a showroom at an offsite suite at the Cosmo. (I'm sure they have some sort of justification for this)

He is absolutely correct fellas, these fly by night wheel Manufacturers.
ADV1
360 Forged
ISS Forged
Vossen
Stance wheels

Pertplus, ur 2 new sets are off the hook. I can see u always comes back to the classic P40SC.. Good choice!
Avery, ur 4-5k$ Forgestar are including tires & such. Well expect to pay around 7-8k$ for the P44SC depending on the finish (w/o tires). I got a local friend who will be selling his P44SC in satin black next year if ur CF10's don't come earlier. Lol
