Cover is OEM, in terms of does it work or is it worth it... would really depend on your driving and if your heating the fluid to begin with. If your tracking i would suggest it.
Thank you Bart for posting the photos.

I know this is pretty extreme but we have had clients do it.
You guys out of the country or even out of state are more than welcome to ship your differential housing units to us for installation of either diff if you feel comfortable removing it and reinstalling it.

ACG SD Wavetrac install
Here's what the car looks like after the OE diff has been taken out. (The exhaust is already down and the trunk has been stripped out).
One note to the DIY'er: The Wavetrac installation required a small amount of relief in two areas on the pumpkin to clear. It's a tight squeeze because the Wavetrac unit itself is slightly larger than the Quaife. Wavetrac says it's just variations in the individual pumpkin castings but be forewarned - while it's certainly not difficult or time consuming - you'll definitely want to know what you are doing and you'll need to have a grinder if it doesn't quite clear. The amount of material removed was minimal so no issues there, but perhaps one good reason if you're in SoCal to have ACG do the installation. Tal can drop you off at Fashion Valley (one wing shown below) while the work is being done, a good way to kill a few hours and/or have lunch on a sunny day.

When trying to decide between Quaife and WaveTrac, James at ACG explained to me that there have been some WaveTrac fit issues...not big issues and nothing a competent mechanic cannot overcome, but exactly like bhamg describes above. I am having the dealer do the install and I was worried they would chicken out if they had to grind away at the inside of the pumpkin. James also made another smart suggestion, which was to use the OEM Castrol fluid instead of the Motul (which he thinks is better) because the Motul is blue and can kinda freak out some technicians.
