My new winter 18" set-up :)

I was Loooooooooooong time thinking how to sort out the winter set-up, thanks to this great place I get also some suggestions how to sort this out, but, so if will be somebody asking why this set up, hers why I chose those...

1) to stay with OEM 19" which I do have as summer, problem was 255/30 tire, over here ONLY ONE available tire Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D, but as I know what can happened in middle of winter - they will be out of stock (as I do lot of miles, and already cuted on potholes 2 tires last winter on previous car, what then ???) all around, as is not really common size, as also @ 300-350 EUR (420-480 USD) for winter tire is not best choice

2) to stay with 19" but with 245/35 tire, but the rules over here are, that I can use just exactly same tire as are written in "vehicle registration" if I will use 245 and accident will happened the insurance company can say that car wasn’t eligible for road use due to "wrong tires" and they can cut the insurance cover ... not best choice

3) so I checked the "vehicle registration" where was stated 225/40 18 wheels all around - just for winter tires

So I decided for that way, as 225/40 tires - there are plenty of them - @ 150 eur each (now on Continental ts830p ) - even for the best in class, Team Dynamics ProRace 1.2 are one of the best in class - ultra light - and as my friends are official resellers for Slovakia , the price was bargain

to count all around 230+150 eur per wheel = 1500 eur / 2000 USD for complete winter set isn’t that bad

Just thought I will share my idea with some members who don’t know what to go for

They look a little small but for this price they aren't bad.
Did you need spacers?

spacers is something what i dont like at all, i was just going for exactly same wheels size as is stated in the "papers" from MB - 8Jx18 ET 45, the TD from UK does send my the templet drowings 1:1 so i just cutted this out from paper with the ET 45 and compare this with the brake calipper and whel hub and find out it will fit

something about those wheels from T.D. page

Under the brand of Team Dynamics Racing, Rimstock are continuing to develop a world renowned range of competition wheels.
We are proud to declare their position of exclusive wheel supplier to the British Touring Car Championship at just 10.5kg with centre lock fixing and drive pegs. This wheel is now extensively used in ETCC and other motorsport championships throughout the World, with wheels from just 9.0kg with standard PCD fixing!! Available from stock in both CENTRE LOCK and PCD versions.
