As I live in Canada, today my driveway is very slippery due to snow.
This dashboard message "ABS AND ESC Inoperative" and "RUN FLAT Inoperative" came up after the rear wheels free spin, but the message went away 5 seconds after restarting the car/driving over 20km/h.
my question is had anyone had this situation before and is this normal?
thanks

I live in Canada too and just had the same thing the other week. Happened once and after a restart it was gone and haven't had it since.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I have had it.
It occurs when there is too much wheel spin and the electronic nannies kick in (if you turn off ABS, I do not believe you get the message).

It happens here and there. The system seems to get confused easily when it's snowy.
No ESC & ABS is fun though

its like what kind of maniac would drive me in the ice and snow!
