Dyno tested
I finally had the 2k mile LSD service done and consider the car broken in, so I put the EuroCharged.com V4 tune on it and had it dyno tested today. Here are the results. Only HP max number is shown on the chart, but you can see the torque in the chart as well.
2014 C63 AMG (stock, non-p31, non-507) Stock Max HP: 321.3 whp Tune Max HP: 357.0 whp* (*we actually ran the tune twice and the 2nd run was 357.9 whp) Gain: approx. +36-37 whp It's not the crazy 60whp+ gains I've seen that others get, but it's still north of 500hp by my calculations which is pretty nice for 2 minutes of work and being able to flash back to stock if I want to. :zoom: http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps0b37479d.jpg https://mbworld.org/forums/"http://s...jpg.html" |

It seems on par with what I've read (60whp for non P31, 30wph for P31 cars).
How about the feeling of the car? Power, responsiveness, etc :) |

I sent an email to the guy that did it, so he'll either let me know for sure, or just think I'm dumb. :) |

Yes, I thought that was what it was, but daniel asked the question so I thought maybe that was just the software used. I'm new to the dyno game so forgive me. :nix:

Stock 320 whp? Where are you located?

Damn 320 sounds low for sea level.

The fuel was at least 10% ethanol. I've read that could account for 3-5% less power.it was also rainy and humid. idk. I was mostly just doing the test to confirm the tune was written successfully. Not too worried with numbers.
I ordered my Eurocharged tune/handheld unit months ago but I haven't had the time to install it. Your post has encouraged and inspired me to act. :D |
I got 50whp gain with eurocharged tune. I also had afe dry filter installed that may have helped gain the extra hp.
Heartbreaker is usually referred to a mustang dyno. |
You can never compare dyno results. Just pick one dyno and measure you're gains there. My car dynoed 330whp on a mustang dyno...and dyno dynamics is about equally as tough to get high power on. Another thing to remember is that we don't use the same resistance settings on every single dyno and a lot of variation comes from there.
You should change to a high flow airfilter if you haven't done so yet. The higher gains are done with that + charcoal delete. |
its always better to know the lowest numbers your car will put down. nothing like beating someone that makes 100whp more on a different dyno

Thanks for the comments guys. Glad I could help give you a little nudge zibby. Obviously I would have loved to get the additional insane 80-90 HP that I suspect only a small few get. But I never believe the huge numbers that these guys try to sell. My numbers seem reasonable and still a substantial gain. It also puts me over the 'magical' 500HP so I'm good. This is the craziest car I've every owned so I'll just stand pat for now. :zoom:
