A bit high
I brought my coupe in for its' first service and asked for a quote on installing a set of clear front markers with bulbs that I purchased on ebay. They gave me an estimate of $400 and said it would be approximately 3 hours to do the job. I politely declined. I then went to a mechanic I use for non warranty work and he did it in 15 minutes.

i'm not sure if there's a difference with the 2014 but on my 2009 i installed the evosport markers by myself in a parking lot. first one took some time (15 minutes?), but once i figured out how it clipped in, i did the other one in only a few minutes.
i went through the hood, not the wheel well.
EDIT: just reread OP and it looks like you already had it done. my mistake lol

things like this need to be mentioned to the service managers. 1hr labor would've been more than sufficient but 3-4? thats absurd. Clearly that tech has no business to be working on these cars get him in some trouble.

The ONLY way I can see the dealership working for 3+ hours is if they removed the front bumper to install the side markers, which would be ridiculous. Either way, $400 is definitely a ripoff.
Time to find another dealership to get your servicing done. If they tried this with installing side markers, who knows what else they'll try with other things down the road. Just my opinion.

do it yourself . you could take a smoke break at work and install them during your break and still have time to finish your cigarette.....it's that easy
if you don't smoke , take a bathroom break or just wait till your lunch time one day . open your hood and you can get to them with no problem
