Based on the previous posts I've read in this thread, I think the C63 I'm interested in buying is not affected....but would like confirmation for peace of mind:

Not sure if you were asking about the head bolt issue, but since the title of the thread indicates all prior to 2010, yours is affected.

I am affected, but have no known issues.

Bigger question is, how many people have actually had a head bolt failure? Or does it tend to more leak than blow out?

Valvestud's original post is a reference to a UK car with a build date of 11/2010. Perhaps Valvestud could edit his original post to mention the fact that the switchover occurred in 7/2010 or around car 425000 to avoid this confusion.

In the UK, cars are labeled by year of manufacture, not model year like in the US, which is why some "late 2010 UK cars" have the revised headbolts. For US cars all 2010 and some early 2011MY are affected.
