2014 To-Do List
Well upstate NY gave me an awesome overcast day that got up to 51 degrees! (Snow tomorrow, whatever). So I got out to wash both the Audi and the Merc. This was my first hand wash on the Audi and as we all know that first wash always reveals things that need some attention. I knew I had it coming.
So, here is my to do list and some pictures because what the hell.
Merc:
- Full exterior detail. My pitbull jumped on the door one day getting him into the Audi and left a nice set of scratches.
- Fixing the wheels. My front driver side needs a new lip and I'll re-powdercoat. Add in some tires and that is already $2k.
- MORE POWER: Tune + Catless headers. Time to make some noise.
- Major exterior touch ups: Lip, Rear Valence, Paint and install my updated mirrors, Repaint hood and potentially update to black series hood.
- Minor exterior touch ups: Fix up the trim, black out the accents/emblems, Redo the plasti-dip on the grille or maybe powdercoat.
Audi: (For those interested)
- Full exterior detail: Yikes. It is clear this car has some miles on it and I will make that all go away.
- Tinted windows: Just like my windows darker, but not black.
- Lower it: Couple more mm's and put on the Summer OEM's with the spacers and it'll start looking pretty good.
- Headlights: Damn those orange lenses over the signals to hell! Those will come out and maybe a black housing.
- Lug bolt covers: I don't have any covers and my lugs have imperfections. Easy cheap fix.
- Dings: Car has a couple minor minor dings. I'd like to take car of those but not high priority
- Interior: I need the CF piece for my drivers door. Mine is cracked, not terrible noticeable so not high up on the list.
- Avoid performance upgrades: That is what my AMG is for and I'd like some "reliability" out of this car and just keep up with maintenance.
SO, what is on your 2014 To-Do List?
And finally, in the spirit of a car forum and entertainment here are some quick pictures from today.
**Disclaimer, I am not a great photographer and didn't put any time really into it, sorry*
BUTTS!
Here are a few pics of some of this issues I'm talking about. Obviously blue paint = RS4 and black paint = C63..
Cant really tell in this pic, but that clear strip is completely water logged.
Miles.....
Lug covers needed
Merc trim details:
Thanks Bane (My pit)

Great post and thanks for the write up. Looks like you have a lot on your plate to do. My recent work is as follows:
1. Washed her yesterday
2. Inside windshield detail, only done this once since car was purchased
3. Installed full CF mirrors
4. Wheel detail
5. Updated valve stem covers thanks to 4Ramin (stupid stuff but completes the wheel look)
6. All new Michelin PSS Sports on all 4 corners
7. Interior Leather treatment
8. Just had all break fluid and differential service done
9. Dash wipe and condition (haven't done since car purchased in July 2010)
10. Brand new torque wrench thanks to 4Ramin
Will get soon:
1. CF Spoiler
2. Redline Engine Oil thanks to 4Ramin
3. Looking into front lip

Seems like a very manageable list. Like the sound of updated valve stems. What were you thinking?
I'm about the have all the tires off and would be easy to do that. Hopefully I only need to get 2 rear PSS tires because I think my fronts are in pretty good shape.

Reminds me of the door locks. Those little plastic things rather than something nicer.

PurpleHeart - that is one hell of a 1 2 punch ya got there. There are guys here that have more, but thats a pair that a lot of us actually have a shot at owning.
You are just listening to the German Horsepower Symphony no matter what you are driving.
Nice style. I likes the way you be rollin.

Hmm... Lets see...
Mechanical:
P0410 - Fix it (damnit, came back on this morning on the way to the airport)
Head Bolts (OEM new style)
Valve buckets
Visual:
Repaint hood.. covered in chips from Beltway driving
Repaint Bumper.. Same as above
Repair Wheels.. quite a bit of rash from bad parking jobs (totally my fault)
Paint wheels... maybe.
repair torn drivers side lower skirt (tore when jack slipped while jacking up car)
That is my list for the year, all DIY.. (the painting might use a body shop depending on how I feel)

2015 E63S AMG & 2013 GLK350
Aside from putting as many fun miles on as I can I've been toying with a few ideas mainly some carbon for the C63 and a supercharger for the WS6 or possibly another car altogether so looking forward to another great year

Little bump.
Soooooooo I've decided that the Weistec e63 that is for sale just isn't the best thing for me to buy right now. I would have to drive it year round and it really isn't a year round car. So, I got back to thinking of the C as my long term AMG. And, uh, let the carnage begin
Tires off. Wheels ready to be shipped somewhere for a new lip/barrel on the bent wheel, all new fasteners, and some fresh new color.
I also FINALLY painted my update mirrors thanks to Matt (olszowa12)! I think I got these like 6 months ago? Ooops. They were brown.
Also -- I am on the hunt for an OEM grill. Either a pre-facelift or a facelift. I feel like I can modify the facelift one but I would prefer the pre-facelift because I want the fitment to be perfect. I plasti-dipped mine which I now regret. Plasti-dip is great, for Honda's. I'm over the plasticy-dimply look that you always have to redo. The plasti-dip company sells a product that will remove all the dip that I might try but might discolor the black plastic. At the end of the day I will be painting the grill gloss black and wrapping the chrome in gloss black as well.
Finally, the bad news. I found a lower body panel on my RS4 today that doesn't fit right and had some snow even behind it. Looks like it will need to come off and hopefully there isn't any rust forming underneath. It is my winter car and I somewhat expected something like this but that will take some of my pennies for the time being.
May the season be a good one! Hopefully warm up is only a few weeks away.
