Hard choice for someone to make between the CTS-V and the C63.

I did this same flip flop debate coming from my 05 E55. A lot of good input here from owners on both sides.

I drove both and both had their pros and cons. I ended up with the C63.

What I didnt like..

2011 C63
-2012+ much better Dash
-Reliability Concern (Headbolt issue, very low probability however)
-Price (dealer tried to gouge me on a 2012(new at the time)
-Expensive to mod

2012 CTS-V Coupe
-"Hollow" feeling in the dash
-Squeaky seats
-Sluggish Gearbox (still better than E55 though)
-Poor Visibility (Coupe)
-Disconnected driving feel

I stuck with the brand that has treated me well in the past. Mercedes makes a great car and an even better performance vehicle.

On a side note: I personally think GM is one generation away from making the perfect luxury performance vehicle. The difference in the 1st generation to the 2nd generation cts-v is huge. I'm excited to see what comes up next.

While the improvements in the 1st gen and 2nd gen V are good, wait for what Mercedes does. The w204 C63 to w205 c63... Or the Pre-biturbo e vs 5.5 biturbo e. Mercedes is just getting ridiculous now, and I love it.

I have a shop called new era performance that mainly does V's practically in my back yard. They have a little straight and if I am to be honest, when they romp the V down that straight my shorts get a little tighter.

New Era is a good shop.

They built this twin turbo CTS V. 1024rwhp de-tuned.

Anyone with real world experiences in a CTS-V with 2 rear facing infant car seats? Looking at a V wagon hoping to get back into a 6spd and like the utility space the wagon offers. Pretty sure rear seats offer less space as the current E55 I have, but having owned a B5 S4 avant in the past has me leaning towards the V-Wagon. I can say power wagons have a soft spot in my heart.

2014 CTS-V (6spd, phantom grey), 2010 Cadillac Escalade ESV (black raven)
On my 2nd lease V.
First was 2010 auto, currently 2014 manual.
Strongly recommend manual tranny and Recaro seats if you get the V.
