A little clarity
Renntech has a highly respected reputation. Another tuner offers professed same for less than half.
Still others offer chips or tuners for 69.00.
Without doing a research paper, what is the actual experience or technical assessment here.
A DAV doesn't need to spend unneccessary dollars.
So it goes down to customer service, reputation, expertise and technical knowledge.
Renntech is a well established/reputable tuner. What you pay is the brand basically and what goes with it. IMO They are probably the most expensive but they stand behind their products. I wouldn't have them if my car didn't come with their tune already if you ask me.
So many tuners claim HP numbers here and there. I would say stick with the known ones :Weistec - Kleeman - Eurocharged ...
Any tuner can modify the parameters of the ecu software. But it takes an experienced tuner with the R&D to back it up to make an ecu tune worth it...i.e. Renntech, Kleemann, Weistec, etc.
