Here are a few videos from a small gathering there last year, but shows the layout and upper echelon of vehicles coming coming out.

So there's really no point. I remember the OE tuned Cls and Propains Z06 were both passing Hagi around 120 so I dont think we stand a chance unless someone comes with a weistec supercharger

I guess I better register for this event....The CLK BS and SLS BS....or the CLK and the C BS?

Drivers are not the issue, my large trailer only holds two cars. I have a second single car trailer but I am not about to lug two trailers out there. CLK is my heavy hitter that's the only one that really matters. Should break 200mph with it, went 187 in 1/2 mile last year with a heavy cross wind and about 210 less hp

Just go and have fun, you will find races. Like Lost Marine stated everyone is cool at these events. Besides, the only race that matters is you racing yourself, make sure your last pass of the day if faster than your first pass of the day and you are going home a winner. I always take my cars to the drag strip when they are bone stock, it is a great way to set a baseline to use for comparison down the road should you ever decide you want to do mods, it is always nice to see the gain in the form of an improved time slip or increased trap speed in a 1/2 or 1 mile event.

Does it matter if your tires aren't in tip top shape. I mean if we are doing a 60mph roll i dont have to worry that much about grip. I have all seasons and they still have decent tread.

C only went 167 in 1/2 and went 194 in the mile last year. I actually want to see what the SLS will do, it has 50ish less hp than the C but weighs 400 pounds less and has much better aero and a much faster shifting DCT trans.A side by side with the C and SLS would be sweet but logistics just dont allow for it.

Define "tip top shape", if they are too worn you may not pass tech, not sure how strict they are. I have done some of these 1/2 mile events where there is virtually no tech and others where they have very strict tech inspection.

I have about 20-30 perfect tread. By april it should be warm enough for summer tires so if thats the case I can get a set. Anyways Ive been meaning to get away from all seasons and go with summer/winter. Just put all the mods on hold because I was going to sell it and was looking to get into a RS7.

The way this usually goes, is guys making 400-550rw, claim 6xx, and guys making 900+ usually drop 100-200 on their claims.. its funny actually
JRCart, as much as i would love to have you and the cars out here, hagi was a bit optimistic, its not a true 1/2 mile. i remember you were pissed at a cali event that claimed that.
its 1600 ft of racing, we may extend that to about 1800, but we have to get the 1200+hp cars out there on a test day to make sure we have enough shutdown distance. we do in theory, but we need to KNOW before we promote that.
I have a gut feeling that we could do 1800, possibly even 2k feet without issue given other events similar with higher hp cars slowing down in shorter distance than we have. Again, just dont want to hide anything
as for tires, YES - IF YOU ARE SKEPTICAL ABOUT TIRES, GET THEM GOOD! that and brakes will fail you during inspection faster than anything.
Dont be scared of tech inspection, its really, really, REALLY easy, but tires, brakes, not leaking fluids and a helmet are the main points -
_new roster coming up shortly
oh, and we're the FIRST to be bringing timeslips to roll racing.. just for that purpose, small detail, but people are going to love it

As for time slips, the Wannagofast events have slips they hand out, at least they did at the Chicago event last year. Michigan mile handed out slips too.

So the run distance is only 1600-1800ft??? Why on earth is it called a 1/2 mile event? A 1/4 mile is 1320, this event is only about 300ft longer than a 1/4 mile? The stopping distance does not really concern me, I don't need much stopping distance, I have a chute I am sure the event is fun but I am most likely not going to haul my cars 750 miles for a 1600ft race, 1/4 mile, yes, 1/2 or 1 mile yes, 1600 ft no. I am looking for a 200mph run and although my car is super fast I know it can not break 200 in 1600ft since I am only trapping in mid 150's in the 1/4 mile

lol, we didnt call it a 1/2 mile, the OP did by mistake. for reference, our top speed GTRs did 174mph from a 45 roll at the MIR day, TX2k is doing the same thing with the roll race nationals and their cars on pump were doing 175, at 1500 ft. hence we are differentiating by going a bit longer. if its a true 1/2 mile your after, which we are too, thats gonna be later in the year, or SS airstrip attack
This is the reaction i thought you would have and thats why i had to correct it.
