Little help in New Jersey !
As for the "You have a week" component of the letter, there's really no problem with that either. I don't know if - Guilty - omitted that but there was really no need to.
I know we've all heard stories about frivolous lawsuits and a lot of people mention the "McDonald's hot coffee case." What most people don't know about this case is that the victim was an elderly woman (79 years old).
She received severe, life-threatening third-degree burns on several areas of her body (including her genitals, ouch).
It was further shown that McDonald's kept their coffee substantially hotter than other restaurants. Typically, coffee is served at a temperature of 135-140 degrees Fahrenheit.
McDonald's kept their coffee at a temperature of 190 degrees Fahrenheit. Coffee burns become a major risk at 150 degrees and despite the much higher temperature, McDonald's had no warning that the coffee would literally melt your flesh if spilled.
Anyway, that was a random aside haha.
With respect to the video in this thread, the only aspect of the operation that was risky was putting something in his mailbox. The government takes that sort of thing pretty seriously and with the mail, you're venturing from civil liability territory to criminal liability territory.

I personally would never have had the ***** to do this.
I would be so damn paranoid that this guy was maybe hurting for money, decides he wants to get back at me and poisons the gummies, eats a few and sues the **** out of me for 100's of thousands of dollars and I'm now up against attempted murder charges. He would then have my cell number on hand, I saw a neighboring car pass you that could pin your vehicle at the scene, and I am certain your prints are on the bag of gummies. Then there is the condemning video that was uploaded to Youtube that could easily be found, where you accidentally got your girl in the video and she was also eating some gummies! lol
I watch too much "Cold Case" and "First 48".

This scenario is very unlikely, but people are friggen nuts man!
I mean seriously I feel like all I have to do is show this thread to whoever it may concern... and also don't forget that at the end of the day, the guy is a scammer and he pretty much stole someone's money. What would the cops do for $464? Probably nothing. Had to take care of it ourselves.
But let's not get into this debate of legal/ vs illegal, it's just a waste of time. I couldn't care less. It's more about morals.

No doubt, you did nothing illegal as far as I can tell.

This is awesome. Guilty if I have any odd jobs in NYC/NJ you are my first call. I think AC/DC "Dirty Deeds" should be playing in the background of the video.
