Can you fit 225/50/18 up front?
Hi guys.
I am currently running 245/40/18 snow tires up front. And its been holding up, need to run fatter than 35 profile. I live in NY and theres pot holes everywhere.
Has anyone ran 225/50/18's up front on factory wheels? Does it rub?
Let me know.

It is 1.4" larger in diameter than oem
Car will sit 0.7" higher
Tire will be 0.7" closer to the fender liner
Width obviously is fine
Might rub on deep bumps but I doubt it
Hard to find snows for this car
The 4 x 225/40/18 is overkill for my area
Maybe 10 days of snow, most of it light
I use all seasons now, last year without an lsd
Just had a wavetrac installed, that will make a big difference
In AK I used narrow snows sometimes studded
On a Porsche lol
If I ran snows ( I did research it) I would try a 225/245 combo
So on the dry road it didn't feel too bad

But the only way to know 100% is the know static clearance and wheel travel from static clearance
If <0.7" rub
If not no rub
So what if it rubs once in a while?
Where do you live?
How bad is the snow?
