For E63S or GTR owners, I need advice
I need you to talk me into or out of giving up both the GTR and the C63 and get a 2014 E63S or CLS63S.
Thank you

both cars are not fairly comparable. The e63/cls63 arent nearly as hardcore. Id keep what you have. It's hard to top a gtr w/exhaust and tune as far as value goes. The transmission is pretty damn good too. The c63 fills the gap of brute hp and savagery and being 4dr where the gtr doesnt have the upper side. the e/cls wont really be any of those things except quick. Softer ride, quick launch, obviously not slow, better mpg, more room. the exhaust tone is really dampened with the turbos and sounds no where near as good as the 6.2 n/a motor in the c63. Only really advantage in my eyes would be getting less attention.

I will not try to talk you out of it
I'm very close to giving up my 2012 C63BS with 1200 miles for a 2014 CLS 63S
Drove the car yesterday and I will probably do it. I love the sound and versatility of the car

Dont even think about getting anything other than the GTR. If i didnt need the extra rear seat I'd never consider anything else but GTR for under $100k.
Choices get much wider if ur budget is over $100k, however, if u are after speed and handling, GTR is still up there with cars that cost twice as much.
Only buy the E63 or cls63 when ur age can only handle straight line speed.

Obv the GTR is quicker and handles better, cheaper to mod. Unless you're looking for a track car I'd go with the CLS all day. It is more exotic/exclusive!! Its a Benz, It can be a great daily driver or a beast when you need it to be.

Are you saying that Cls is more exclusive or gtr? Based on production numbers and resale value I think gtr has the upper hand by a landslide.

I thought about getting a GTR but the interior just kills me. I've also heard that the interior creeks and rattles which would absolutely drive me crazy. I will give it the performance, but the E63S isn't far behind as far as straight line quarter numbers are concerned which is far more impressive being a 4 door large sedan.
You could also get like a 2012/2013 e63, put 25k into it, and walk away from Non-Alpha GTR's on highway pulls. Probably could get away from low level Alpha GTR's as well.

Could be based on location too. I know of 7 GTR's in my area, but 0 CLS's. I can almost guarantee there aren't any CLS 4matics but I wouldn't rule out an older gen cls63 maybe creeping around my city somewhere.

I have no proof of production numbers/sales.. I was going off of the fact that in my area(north Jersey) I see alot more GTR's than CLS63.. Honestly I barely even see any CLS550. WOW I didn't realize the new GTR is over 100K, just looked it up. Well does the OP want a Japanese sports car, or a German luxury car that seats 4 people comfortably and can be a beast when needed.
