Opinion on JL Motoring fitment Issue and Mode Carbon

Does anyone here ever had fitment issue with JL Motoring Diffusor and front lip on a C63?

What about mode carbon. Is the fitment right on?

Thanxs

Alex

I just installed a JL motoring front lip, fits great. Had to pre-drill big holes in bottom layer to counter sink self tappers to bumper but looks great and fits great.

You used silicone also?
Was there any gaps around the edges?

Any pics?

I'm pulling it back off next weekend to put silicone also yes. I put about 12 screws. Not really any gaps, except a tiny little gap looking down the side of the bumper but really good overall. I am happy with the purchase... Just clinch my *** cheeks over bumps and high speeds. I hit about 4 times and it's still tight and didn't damage.

Sorry should of mentioned, have a buddy help you. I have a hoist at home so it went well. Have him hold the centre tight. With a drill bit the size of your pinky finger through the bottom layer for every screw (the lip is hallow) then use 8mm head self tapping screws (I got 1" long screws) I put 3 in the middle about 3-4" apart then went about every 6-8" until the corners then slapped 2 close to the wheel wells about 2" apart so it held well. Just used a small mastercraft cordless drill to secure the screws in place. It took me about 20-30min. Now I know it's all good I'll drop it back down & add a generous amount of silicone to give it some flex and extra hold.

You will add the silicone under the edges and the glue it to the bumper?
Or put silicone around the edges when the lip is already installed on the bumper? Like around a bath tub?

I just installed my mode carbon diffuser. I can't compare to any other brands out there but it fits snug. Quality is great. Install takes patience but fits. The only issue I have for the price is the lack of bottom brackets to secure the bottom part. No big deal as I can create these brackets but I think they should at least provide these.
