09 C63 vs 08/09 E63

Hi all,
I know this is crazy question since I'm on this forum, but I'd like the experienced owners' input on this, esp anyone who's driven/owned both the C63 as well as the E63.
This will be mainly my wife's daily driver and she likes being able to whip around in a small car, and the size of C is nice. That said, I'm a cheap snob and it just seems like the E63 is sooo much nicer car, esp on the interior build quality and for longer rides. In addition, given the E63 started out with $30k HIGHER MSRP, being able to get it for same price as C63 seems like a better deal? I'd appreciate some current owners' input...thx in advance.

I drove both. The C63 is a much sportier car. The E63 just feels big and kind of soft. Also, I hate the gauges and center armrest in the E63. She will love the C63 and in no way do I feel the C63 is a downgrade in any way.

You are right that the E63 is bigger and more plush, the car is more comfier than the C63 & the interior is much nicer IMO. Unlike the C63 which is more raw, the suspension is way stiffer but it handles a lot less boat like. One thing about the E63 is the airmatic suspension failing, that is a additional repair bill when it decides to give out.

I have not personally owned any of them but I get them at work (Exotic Motors) all the time. And to give you some advice, it all comes down to if you want luxury or sport. And that shall answer your question. My xgirlfriend had a c63, and we did put 15k miles on it in 1 year and than sold it to a member on here. I don't see how some consider a C class luxurious, but to me the C is too small to be considered a luxury car. But it is a ton of fun to drive. The E is more grown up, and very luxurious, with plenty of performance for when needed.

I am assuming your wife is not too big. If that is the case the C63 would better fit her needs. The C63 is not really a "down model" to the E class. Sure the E-class is loaded with massage seats and race start and ceramic brakes and all of that but the C63 is more nimble and as quick.

The $30000 MSRP difference might be put for a better use. She wouldn't be disappointed. I also highly recommend taking a look of a used E550 biturbo, they are a beast and fair on price.

I've got an 07 E63 that is by far the nicest car I've ever owned. Faster than my old Z06 Corvette, and more luxurious than my old Lexus ES300.

I also feel it is a very good size. I wouldn't call it a boat, like an S-class. Because it rides lower and has very meaty tires and decent suspension it handles MUCH better than just about any similiar sized sedan.

I've driven the C63, and although it is quicker due to the size diff, I couldn't get past the low rent feel. It felt like exactly what it is: An entry level Benz, with a really large engine stuffed into it.

And unless you are married to Danika Patrick, do you REALLY think spending that kind of cash for your wife's daily driver is a wise investment, lol?
