I was talking to this guy with the E63 AMG-S model today and there was a C63 tuned who ran this E63 and lost pretty good. Anyway we went from a 40roll. I spun and he pulled a 1/2 car. I need new tires btw. We took it past 5th gear and he still was 1/2 car ahead. By the specs on the E63 it ran 11.6@121.8 on Motortrend. We were surprised by the outcome. Sorry no video. I can't wait for Pocono!

Thanks. I know the E63 is heavy and the awd slows it down. But with 590ft trq@2000rpm and 577hp makes up for it.

Weird, I raced a '14 e63 amg-s a few days ago and destroyed it. Mind you it was just a street race. But it wasn't even close at all. Perhaps the headers and other mods on my c63 make a bigger difference then just your tuned 63 or the e63 was afraid to push it since so new? However he tried to beat me at 3 different stop lights and didn't even give me a challenge at all. I would have thought that a c63 with just a tune would beat the e63 amg-s. The tune makes such a difference, and the e63 is heavier and all wheel drive. Also your tires (lack of) might have made a big difference too?

Believe me the one you raced wasnt trying. I know this guy with a full bolton C63 and we ran. First run we were dead even. Second run he got me by a car. Anyway I think I did very good considering the E63 traps 121+mph.

Anything can happen in a street race...if I hit it first, that can be an easy half second even a full second....


I destroyed a CL55 off a light because I nailed it first and he couldn't catch up...and I was in a QX56



E63S will walk a tune only C63 in every situation in a side by side

There is ample evidence that suggest the E63S is making well over 625hp at the crank. MT put one on the dyno.
Fast forward to 4:50 mark for the discussion on the power level.

Also, Road and Track just tested one with the other Super sedans and it did a 0-60 in 3.2 seconds; 1/4 mile in 11.5 @ 123.1

Put those numbers in a bench racing calculator and you get around 625hp with a weight of 4540lbs.

You need some serious mods on the 6.2 to get into that territory. I do really miss my C63 for throttle response.

kinda off topic but i raced a new aston martin vanquish yesterday..some asian kid pulled upto me at a redlight asking if i wanted to race lol..anyways i pulled him pretty good but damn that car is pure sexy and it sounded just as good as our c63

Exactly, take it to the track (which has been open for the better part of a month now) if you really want to know what your car is doing - it's just a guessing game on the street especially with cars that are within a second or so of each other.

This is a euroch tuned c63 on my old tune which gave me CEL. Now with the latest OE tuned it got faster. Going from my vbox.
