Drive Shaft Loop

Palm Beach Raceway rules state that cars running under 13.99 require a drive shaft loop. Anyone know any details about this requirement? Do our cars meet this requirement from the factory? If not, anyone have details about installation? Or, in reality, do the tracks tend to "overlook" this requirement?

Palm Beach says 13.99. Maybe they screwed this up on their website? Anyone make a few passes at PBIR and know what the deal is?

I understand the nhra regulates the sport. The rules, at least in my mind, are pretty clear. "The NHRA requires all cars that run 13.99 or faster to have a drive shaft safety loop that meets general regulation number 2:4."

My question is: does anyone have a safety loop, or does the track not check for this typically? (Not talking just about PBIR, I'm talking any track you all go to).

I've been asked about a loop, after hitting 10s, never before.

I've been asked about a cage too ha, just said it was stock.

Some tracks don't care some are really strict...

These rules are retarded. They are meant for 1960s cars.

No one doing street legals is going to install a loop and pretty much everyone at street legals is running under that time.

There is no stock loop though.

I have never been asked about a loop or scatter shield at any track and my 3 AMGs run 9's and 10's. The first time I was asked was when the NHRA sent out a tech guy to Weistec certify my cage and the rest of the car for 8.00 passes.

Thanks gentlemen. I didn't want to show up and then have to sit on the sidelines.

Back, in the dark ages, loops on anything modified, more or less and a good idea on any but stock cars.
I would like to ride in a C or anything running 8.0.
Damned near scared me, to death when my 68 Charger went under twelve seconds.
yes, I;m older than dirt.
