C63 AMG BLACK or GT-R R35 BLACK
Aye gents,
I know this question has been asked before but i cant seem to find a thread with what i am actually looking for the only threads i found where only sedan and not BLACK EDITION and the standard GT-R. I bought my first Merc and current ride at the moment thanks to my miss's father who has the E63 AMG which got me into Mercedes so I bought the CLS63 AMG and i enjoy it immensely my first Luxury car i quite like what Mercedes offer and I'm looking to get another soon but I'm stuck in between deciding to get the,
2012 C63 2-DOOR COUPE C204 MY11 AMG BLACK EDITION (6.2L V8) - Max Power - (380kW @ 6800rpm) - Max Torque (620Nm@5200rpm) Fuel Consumption of (12.2L / 100km)
Or the,
2013 GT-R R35 BLACK EDITION 2-DOOR COUPE MY13 - (3.8L TWIN TURBO V6) - Max Power -(404kW @ 6400rpm) - Max Torque (628Nm @ 3200rpm) Fuel Consumption of (11.7L / 100km)
I will be using it as an every day car and also track car for fun weekends when i can with friends. I do plan to heavily modify either car but I'm interested in other peoples opinion on either COUPE and in there own opinion which is more highly modify free and which is worth it in all. Where i live the weather isn't really an issue as the area i live in does not snow or get extreme temperatures through the seasons. The country i live in (Australia) Mercedes benz is a lot more expensive and for the C63 then it is for the GT-R... On average both cars where quoted to me by private seller as used 1st owners for the C63 BLACK EDITION COUPE price range of +$200,000AUSD and for the GT-R R35 BLACK EDITION +$160,000AUSD
Appreciate the Feedback
Thanks.

Get the GTR. Much easier to go over the top and get a car with ridiculous power. The C63 has it's peak but what you lose in power vs the GTR you make up for in luxury. GTR with an AMS package is a street car and a monster. AMS themselves will say they will not make a package for the GTR that makes it so you can't drive it daily.
Honestly, "Heavily Modify" and "every day car" is something that you need to think about.
I guess the question is, how heavily modified?

Aye bro thanks for the reply. Yeah i see what you mean i will consider what your saying well heavy modified in the sense of decked out exterior, interior, engine, brakes etc aftermarket wide body kit, wheels, screens, sound system, chrome diped plastics carbon fiber replacements, custom body paint and what not i have about $50,000AUSD set aside that iv reserved for the engine bay its all pretty much all set out i have a lot of friends that have there own custom garages cosmetic and dyno and panelpeders that have worked all on my cars before hand so i do get luxurious discounts but i think if I'm gonna get the Merc I'll go to the Australian branch of Germanys Brabus and see how they can tweek the car to perfection seeing as they have some what prestige and specialist in Mercs. My plans are to enter the car in auto salon Australia and travel through the states and get either the merc or nissan on magazines and what not i will be driving fairly standard as i will be chucking 20s or 22s through the week and then on track days on weekends ill chuck racing wheels so ill be driving the speed limit most of the time

Tough call. I also say GTR. both cars have huge mod potentials. Both are great sports cars. While GTR is a better handling, AMG gives you nicer interior. In the us gtr keeps it value significantly better than the AMG regardless of the black series. Please also note that the standard gtr and the black have the same performance values.

Awk cyberorth i see i see yeah with the GTR do you mean as console and dash layout or do you mean by cheap plastics and cheap leather and what not because if i where to get the GTR id rip all the factory interior out and replace it with high quality replacement products so it will have the standards of Mercedes interior lux read my comment above yours brother and you'll see what I'm trying to achieve

That's awesome yeah i get ya which out of the 2 would you prefer after reading from my previous comments i have mentioned what i plan to do to with either one would you prefer if luxury and speed wasn't an issue as i am gonna heavy modify it so both could be as fast and luxurious as one an other which would you prefer? and which car could i deck out those most in (engine wise) with whats on the aftermarket that has the most potential

Sometimes I think about dropping my C63 for the GTR, but then I drop the idea. Don't get me wrong, they are both amazing cars. For me though, I wanted a bit of an exclusivity factor in a car as well. That being said, while the GTR is a sick car, at the end of the day it is a Nissan and well C63 is a Mercedes. So the C63 has the exclusivity/luxury aspect in its favour as well. The GTR is an amazing machine for the price it is offered, but I wish they had at least made the looks more aggressive that stood out more.

That is true bro Mercs are pretty phatt though factory made C63 black edition kits look alot more aggresive then the GTR but then again nothing a aftermarket wide body kit cant change for the GTR you know what i mean Iv seen some pretty cool kits for it and the C63 which I'm very interested in getting when i pick one or the other look Mercs will always be prestige because they always have there line of cars in gangsta movies etc so they advertise it to the world as a high roller mafia car.. the Nissans had prestige back when the Skylines where being made and seeing as the GTR is a R35 from the line of Skylines it does take some exclusivity/sports with it thats just my opinion though

Oh I don't disagree, but let me just put it this way. I know this wouldn't be applicable to you considering you're married but this is how I picture it;
You meet a girl in the bar and cars come up. Girls in general not knowing much about cars, asks what you drive, you say Nissan GTR.
Girl will be like ohhh nice...without knowing anything about it. Now if you say Mercedes C63, the girl is gonna be like..oooohh gawwd damn a merc?!? Panty drop! lol
Haha, jokes aside. They are both amazing vehicles. Honestly you can't go wrong with either, you just need to see what you like better. I don't know too much about GTR's but I do know that stock for stock the GTR is faster than the C63? That being said, obviously the Merc is no slouch.

Haha i get what you mean now bro ps. I'm not married "Miss's" where Im from is also considered as "girlfriend" just a slang term. The way you should say it even though it isnt tagged as a Skyline but its the Skylines big bro in my opinion search up Skylines if you havent heard of them on Youtube they are great cars with immense potential in Horsepower you will see the resemblance the GTR is a Supercar version of the Skyline Range that being said most chicks know what a skyline is you should say that you have a Skyline GT-R R35 Supercar then you will see there pantys drop just like a Merc, a lot of chicks have seen fast a furious 2 and the Skyline Brian drives the R34 at the start of the movie the silver one with blue graphics on it that the cops confiscate and its also Brian's Favorite vehicle "The Skylines"

Haha yea I am familiar with the Skyline's. I owned a Nissan 350Z (Fairlady Z) a while ago, fully modded and those are essentially the same family. Good luck with your search bro! Keep us updated with whichever route you take.

Aw nice bro yeah 350z have potential i don't mind them too much but I'd prefer an R32 Skyline or R34 Skyline in my opinion and deck that out heavy and take it to the drag strip as just a project car for ridiculous HP. Thanks bro, will do take it easy brother. Cheers

I've been thinking about the same thing, have talked to allot of people that have the GTR. 1st of all the GTR is an amazing car but very very expensive to MOD. to modify the car your looking 40K to 80K depending on what you want. The best years to get are 2012 and up. the repair cost of the trans is about 25K. You will not have the driving experience with the GTR as you will the C63 However, the C63 will never hold a candle to GTR's capabilities. They are two different cars and the GTR is A supper car. I love my C63 but at the end of the day its a taxi Cab with a huge motor. I personally don't know why anyone would go buy a BS c63 or a 507 when you can own a GTR. So my answer is Get the GTR, the interior is amazing too. I'm probably going to get the the premium edition as i will be modding the car and don't see the value in the Black edition and or track edition. good lock and if you have any questions pm me as I've researched the car for over 6 months now...... One last thing, I think if you get the GTR you done with cars for a long long time as the you just mod the car as you go along. now keep in mind that the word is in two years the new model is coming out...

C63 has HP peak?
I heard these help
http://www.weistec.com/m156sc.html
I've seen some insane R35s but this black series is nuts. Get one
Also tons of people would get a C63 over a GTR, C63 is around 40k cheaper in canada, I can buy a c63 507 new, stage 3 it, spend another 15k and still come in cheaper then a new GTR
Lets be realistic, how often do you goto the track? If it's not often, then you aren't going to be using the GTR for what its meant for

tough call... not really,
I have to made the same difficult decision last year. ut after using my R35 for worl (4k average per month) I switch for my c63 and I do track and drag then drift avery week...
conclusion better result in the track with the r35 but less fun, less confortable as well
the c63 gave me that fun car that I'm looking for, im not doing race but track, so the point for me is having a responsive car and the driver play with the car if I want to drift I do, and as for the road trip it's a better car.
but both have great benefit

GTR for sure. Theres no other car can compete with GTR in its price range. Precision, agility, power and fun.
C63 is fun to drive too after an aftermarket LSD, Suspension mod (kw v3) and bigger tyres all four corners, plus switching off the ESP.
GTR is jst natural. Bone dry factory spec will be more than enough for an average driver enjoying abit drag, abit precious cornering and sound (certainly not as good as the AMG sound).
Different audients actually. C63 is mainly for a grown up but still sometimes naughty family guy. GTR is simply a japanese badarse.

Ya really depends on how you intend to drive the car OP. I have driven a GTR and the sheer speed and control is super fun in my eyes. You can go out in that car in almost any weather condition and kick any other cars ***. That is what the GTR is about for me...
