Max Tyre Size on 19" Amg 16 Spoke Rims
Hello all,
sorry if this has been answered previously, but after searching so many threads, i seem a bit confused on the max tyre size especially when not lowered.
so i wanted to ask, can i run 245x35x19 and 275x30x19 on a stock 2012 p31 coupe, no lowering, stock amg 16 spoke wheels, without any rubbing of anysort?
tyre brand michellin PSS
also will this affect my stance , as i currently run 235x35 and 265x30, will the new tyre size fill the tyre well better and look better without lowering ...... or will it increase the gap between the tyre and the wheel arch?

You will be able to run the 245/35 and 275/30 on the stock 19" rims without rubbing.
The front will fill the gap by .14" and the rear by .12" so I doubt you will notice the difference. The tire side profiles will look more rounded and a little taller kind of a little fatter looking.

Thank you mort, may i please bug you for a pix to explain the more rounded aspect, does that have any negative effect in cornering or handling as against the 235 and 265 ?

The increased width and height of the tires may make the sidewalls a little less stiff and reduce steering feel and turn in a little. It depends on how sensitive you are to steering feel and how aggressively you corner the car. I don't have a pic of the larger tires to show the difference in sidewall height and width. Because they are wider they will overhang the wheel lip a little more and because they are taller it will make them look more rounded and thus a little fatter looking. There are some pics in this forum but not sure how you should search to find them. Try searching on these tire sizes and you might come up with something useful.

Temporirily running toyo T1 265 on the rear stock 19 inch multispokes, somehow it feels much grippier than a bridgestone re050 rft (150 tread so supposed to be softer n grippier). Both were on the same pressure (44psi nitrogen). So the increased bulgeness might help with grip

Hmmm, thanks for your input , been looking into re-11 for some rigid tyres, i think they will fair better than PSS not certain though
