Yep they have some huge potential. There was a zr1 vette at the track, but we couldn't get lined up.

I don't load it up, I just stomp it from idle so it flashes and goes.

I'm hitting 5psi midrange and 10 psi in upper rpm.

10.6 at this track is no joke. That one race is a tune and long tube header car, he didn't get good traction off the line, but I pulled him hard all the way.

I'd like to take a trip to mission in BC at sea level, but I hear they boot guys the 1st time with no cage.

How do launch C63s'? You just go WOT when it goes green? Or does the tune need to be setup right?

A 1.58' 60' time by just going WOT is nuts. Maybe I'm just a newb at this platform but even like GTR's with AWD they need BOTL or a good launch on DR's (dropping from say 4000rpm) to get a sub 1.6 60'.

"Unaltered 2008 OEM model year and newer production cars running slower than 9.99 and 135 mph do not have to meet the requirements and specifications for the Summit Racing Series except for the following: Convertibles and T-tops must meet Summit Racing Series Roll Bar and Roll Cage requirements, All drivers must meet the Summit Racing Series Helmet and Protective Clothing requirements."

key word there is "unaltered" which your car doesnt really follow but you never know, depends on the how the track is ran. In texas they seem to be very lenient. That is hauling some ***, you've got that car dialed in nicely. Change your mind on selling the supercharger kit? Looks like you've got the bugs worked on out finally.

I gotta be honest, the launch for me is the easiest part.

I do a 4-5 second burnout, line up, when the third light comes on I stomp it.

I haven't really even tried loading it up, my theory, the TC flashes higher rpm when I hammer it.

The hard part is shifting it in manual mode. 1st gear slams you in the seat hard, I have to shift around 4700rpm to hit it close to redline, 1st gear last 1.5 seconds, you gotta be on the ball. 2nd gear comes a second or two after, again needing to shift early around 5500 to hit close to redline, most times the shifts are a bit early or bounce off the limiter. This tranny is sloooow.

Race fuel, icing it right at the burnout box. Proper and light weight DR setup with the right pressure and burnout, stage deep.

The track was prepped so good that night, people were getting their shoes almost ripped off.

Nice runs! That is fast. You must make like 500tq off idle haha.

Hey little bit off topic but is your car dyno tuned or do you use a weistec off the shelf flash tune?

Congrats on some awesome times! Glad you stayed with it and it's paying off now. I remember driving Dodgers car in manual mode, you have to time it way in advance but the challenge of timing it right is thrilling!

Amg boost, it's a shelf tune. But really what's the diff, the car runs closed loop 24/7 and timing is adjusted by the ecu, so really the ecu develops the tune once it adapts, within reason.

Blackbenz, yes the delay is the tricky part and with the blower it's goes through rpm fast, well the same as dodgers would with his times. Ppl don't understand how tricky it is to nail every gear. I'm only making max boost at the upper rpm so if I short shift it's not helping. Ppl think oh it's and auto just floor it and hang on, I wish. I like that "Built not bought"', much respect to the guys that do their own work. I know a few that got big wallets and they build all their own cars, they always seem to be running huge numbers too. The guys who throw money usually end up with a big bill and not doing so great.

What are the advantages of M mode over S mode when drag racing?
Are the shifts harder/faster in M?
If yes, is it worth that much in ET over consistency of auto shifting?

Drag racing I run S mode, traction off, put it in 1 and let it force the shifts. On occasion it will chirp 1-2. No Trans upgrades.

It is not easy. Not liek a GTR where it shifts soon as you hit the paddle. There's a delay and it's different in every gear and car. You did a great job with your runs. Yea, sometimes if you want something done right you just gotta do it yourself. There are exceptions to this of course.

In some cases (High HP) the car will not shift quick enough in S mode and just bounce off the limiter. In these cases you have no choice but to shift it yourself in M mode. Which makes it that much more difficult. If your car shifts in S mode then I would just leave it. Takes alot of the guess work out of it. Luckily I don't have this issue in my CLK
