Need help on new tire size for stock 18" wheels!!!
Hi guys,
I need some new tires for my stock 18" wheels on my C63. I noticed that currently it has 235/40/18 tires in the front and 255/35/18 tires in the rear, these are the stock tire sizes from the dealership. I was wondering if it would be safe to go 245/35/18 for the front tires and 265/30/18 for the rear tires for my 18" stock wheels. Basically just going a little wider and lowering the sidewalls a bit. Will these sizes be ok?
Also, are the 18" stock wheels staggered or square??
Thanks

The stock wheels are 18 x 8 front and 18 x 9 rear.
I don't think I would go with wider and shorter tires. You could try 245/40/18 front and 265/35/18 or 275/35/18 rear. 275 are getting a little wide for a 9" wheel.

Ok thanks guys, so I guess I will just go a little wider then, but keeping the sidewall the same, 245/40/18 on the fronts and 265/35/18 on the back tires, should be ok right? Not going to look funky or anything, it might look too beefy..

Would you guys recommend I go shorter on the sidewall or wider on the tires? Since I cant do both and have to choose one I was thinking maybe just go wider.. but the tires seem so tall at 40 and 35 respectively..

Stay with stock sizes. The added width is offset by taller side wall. Put in a LSD instead.
