First Road Trip
Just got back from a long weekend in LA. The drives down from Northern California and back were amazing fun. One part, Pacheco Pass Road that connects from I-5 in the Central Valley to the coastal valley is one of the greatest drives in the country. A long, sweeping twisting roads with lots of elevation change. And traffic moves at 90+ on most of I-5 so occasionally taking it to 120 while passing is perfectly natural. And there are stretches where the CHP has no place to hide, so testing 140+ is stress-free. Unless the wife glances at the speedometer.
I'm ready for another lap.

I know the strip and roads that you describe. Beautiful wheat fields and mountain sides. Glad you had a great time. Sometimes these little mini vacations beat any out of the country stuff...
