Head Bolt TSB

Hello everyone,

I finally found the copy of the head bolt TSB that I knew I had downloaded before it was taken down. I've attached for those of you that are interested and haven't seen it.

note in the part list for required parts.... headgasket, meaning not one bolt at a time.

It's still referenced, but you can't open and view it. As to your question... I leave to you and everyone else's imagination.

Not sure I understand your comment, but I did notice for the first time that the tappets are not listed in the parts even though they get replace if heads are pulled.

I realize it's in the repair steps, but the tappets are not in the list of parts.

That's because the head bolts have broken and the head gasket is leaking giving the rough running and low coolant messages.

If you replace the bolts before you have a problem, then you can do one at a time.
