Wanting to buy but...

Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and learning a great deal about MB vehicles. I'm currently looking at a new 2014 C63 AMG 507. Love the car and am beginning to negotiate with dealer.

I've never purchased a vehicle like this and have no idea what wiggle room he has on the price.

Can anyone offer insight as to how much off the $85,000 asking price I might be able to purchase it for?
I have no idea what is reasonable and would like to walk away feeling like a got it for a fair price.

Any feedback is appreciated
Thank you

Dude, I have no idea but push low and see what they say. They'll probably give you "we can't do that", and you can then decide to walk away for a day or 2 or 3 and see if they come back to you or you could approach them again. They have significant wiggle, again I don't know how much, but you might as well go for it. What have you got to lose?

start with www.truecar.com put all your options and that will give you the MSRP, invoice price and average sales in your ZIP code and nationwide. Knowing the invoice cost of the car is helpful and also knowing the average sales price in your area. That can help you bargain to buy at invoice or possibly below.

2015 C63 507
I negotiated with a few dealers (local and out-of-state) back in March-April for 507s in stock but didn't have much luck, though a few did try pushing regular C63 with more discount. I ended up ordering a MY15 507 to the spec that I want which is scheduled for production in July. Good luck and keep us posted.

If having a new and 507 is important to you, the dealers don't really have to negotiate with you. There are only like 10 of them for sale in the U.S. at any one time.

While I too want a new 507, I just can't see it being worth the same as a two year old C63 with < 20,000 miles and a high mileage '08 C63. (Really, you can buy two great C63's for 85K.)

Motor Trend tested the 507 .1 seconds faster than the regular car in 0-60. (Now those wheels are awesome, if you don't like them, sell them to me).

(I've also heard that the car's peak power comes in around 50,000 miles when the piston rods have stretched a bit, naturally raising the compression ratio. Don't know if that is true though.)

Bought one yesterday. MSRP was $87K and I offered them $78K. They came back with $79K and bought it.
