Guys, go to PM. This thread has the potential to hold some good information. Hopefully a mod comes in and cleans it up eventually.

2 members have mentioned issues with tuning 2013 c63 coupes, non pp, which could shed light onto whether or not this is an issue or just rare case. The outcome for one member was having to send the ecu to be tuned.

You're pissing contest is juvenile at best and quite frankly annoying. Just take it to PMs. Or please just wait until solutions and outcomes are met so members don't have to sift through pages of shenanigans to find the good info.

I'm interested to know if he has the V5 throttle blip (I didn't see him indicate anywhere in his posts if it did, sorry if I missed it).

It would be strange for the tune to partially take hold.

Agreed, but it was done at a dealer of ours so made it a little more difficult. We are working with him to verify and check everything

yup, we have seen a few isolated incidents where the ecu couldn't be read, but the tool popped an error instantly. Both of the ecu's could be read and written on the bench though. We will get to the bottom of this and post a report on what we found

not a bad idea... maybe turn the wipers on if you hit x rpm or something for x seconds in idle lol

On the flip side of some experiencing a tune not taking, I totally muffed the correct tune process (didn't turn ignition to step 2, only to 1), and the thing still friggin' worked! So I got my tune when I necessarily shouldn't have! And BTW, my kung fu is FIERCE... ;-)

See, you have some good ideas.

I like the easter egg idea. Something like once tuned the hazards flash 3-5 times. Something more like a one time deal rather than every time I rev up my wipers go. Someone try to show their manhood by revving up for a crowd would have to explain why their wipers continuously go off.

Again, I'm a newb to all of this but my engine fan (or one of them, still learning about the layout) ran at high speed for a minute or so during tune IIRC. Not that this necessarily proves the tune is taking. The blips, however, led me to believe that it'd been installed.

I never tuned my c, so, first question would be was the car on?

If the car is on, then your radiator fan is kicking on to cool the car off. Such as if you're in stop and go traffic, because you aren't moving the fan will have to kick on in order to cool the car. When you're driving the fan doesn't have to be on.

Haha well in that case you might as well have the horn honk, brights flash, and windows roll up and down to various lengths. Would make for a more interesting conversation.

No, car's off, ignition turned to position 2. Never even heard the fan blare like that during any driving. It was full blast, high speed, and pretty much told me that the car was being tuned. I hadn't even driven the car in a day so it was cool also. Read somewhere else that the fan kicks on during tuning, IIRC.

Correct!

and the c63 speed discussions were pretty funny... car we were just playing with (non benzo) was doing 2.6 second 100-150mph runs lol... now that is fast..

This is a great point! I looked for this feature when I completed the flash to verify that the car has the EuroCharged tune but I couldnt seem to find anything.

There are also no instructions on the instructions manual about how to check which map is installed.
