2013 C63 transmission - cannot stand it anymore

i dont get why everyone cries about the shifting? my car shifts fast even with paddles...theres like MAYBE half a second delay..downshifting is all the computer not letting you down shift too soon
you guys act like it takes a minute to change from 1st to 2nd...lol...go drive any ****ty toyota or mainstream car then go drive the C63.
Honestly you guys need to get into the gas pedal more..not just once a week...take the benz out and TRY and blow it up...trust me, it'll change the responsiveness, whenever i drive my car i always make sure im redlining 1-5th atleast once during my outtings.

I've have a dual clutch S4 and the shifts are unbelievably quick, video game like. My 507 on the other hand with the MCT is not even close and where the C63 really lacks is the downshifting. But nonetheless it works, a little clunky but I feel it takes some learning to know how the transmission will respond in different situations and also timing the shifts.

2013 C63 AMG
so rage2 very kindly offered to test drive my car and now all I can say is that I understand the difference between the pre-facelift transmissions (DCT?) and the face-lifted one (MCT?).
Basically it was me not the car - as suspected. I'm learning to drive like an a$$ and not an old lady.
Thanks rage2 for your help and for the backseat mod tip!

isn't that normal?
light, partially throttle it shifts at a low rpm
get into it and it runs it up higher?
the shift point rpm's are further adjusted based on a weighted average of recent driving habits

One of the things that he mentioned yesterday that I completely missed in his post was how it's jerky off the line in S/S+ mode, but not so much in C mode. The MCT startup clutch in 1st gear is kind of aggressive compared to the old traditional torque converter. It's a lot smoother in C starting in 2nd. Coupled with wanting a more aggressive shift program by jabbing on the throttle off the line makes the car lurch forward in stop and go traffic.
20_Goto_10 drove his car, then mine right after, and both cars exhibited the same behavior. Honestly, I don't think the engineers anticipated drivers wanting an aggressive program in stop and go, and by working around it (jabbing the throttle off the line), the software is just confused.
Proper workaround is to drive in M mode so it stays in 1st. Or C mode and relax till you find some room to open it up.
Oh, and welcome to the back seat down club!

Yea for sure, and when the rate of throttle is fast off the line (the jab), the MCT drops the clutch much more aggressively, hence shooting forward.
