Ok my valve ticking has been getting louder for the past year.....told my mb tech about it and they agreed to repair it under warranty by replacing the buckets next week. The part numbers are not for the sls ones but are the newer improved ones.
Part number is A156 050 02 25
I think the sls one start with a159
Question for those who did it themselves.....does the intake manifold come off when this work is done or do they just remove the valve covers on either side and swap out old ones?

The intake manifold should not need to be removed. You have to remove the valve covers and cams and special tools are required which you can purchase.

If your car is in the affected headbolt range you ought to try and see if they will do them too
If they balk offer to contribute

Sls have a anti friction costing on them.
Trying to get head bolts done would be wise too.
