Maybe it brought 1 or 2 or 3 hp......., can't feel it.
yeah i wouldn't expect miracles but any small thing you can do to increase airflow is good. I removed the charcoals from mine and added afe's already....but need more power!

Yes, goes in the right direction, can't hurt and is not really expensive.

If you seriously need more power: Supercharger is the only real deal.

So, do any of u guys that installed it noticed any sound difference in the exhaust note? More pronounced and crisp or does it sound the same?

I cannot imagine why the exhaust note should possibly change. Theoretically there could be a bit more noise level from the intake, but that will be inaudible, I would assume.

I certainly do not hear a difference.

The overriding impact on noise level is driving in C vs M and downshifting at higher revs or not.

Ok thanks for confirming, I just had some people tell me even without a tune, your exhaust note will be more pronounced esp if you have sec. cat and res delete...

See, that makes me suspicious. 8 whp out of 400 or so, is very likely well within the margin of error of repeat dynos. I'm no dyno expert, but I'm a skeptic and a scientist and margin of error is often ignored. That's 2%, and that's pretty damn small, and I bet it's within the margin, in other words, simply chance and functionally the same number. But I'm up for being set straight on this, certainly...

I think if you search the forum a member dynoed +22 whp with ROW install. With software already present before the dyno.

I finally got a baseline so I may start playing with mine and if I get ROW boxes i'll be sure to compare.

But as mentioned 8hp isn't really enough for me to be happy on a dyno, my baseline pulls swing 10hp and 12ft/lb between the first and the third. So many variables exist already unless it was consistent I would not call it confirmed for 8hp but I do think the boxes have a positive effect. Tuning small I4 turbos one of the mods is a larger MAF housing similar to the ROW.

When you search air covers by the correct model the price is nearly twice this and different part #

Just to clarify, are the 306 & 406 PN's the ROW boxes? Or the 506 & 606?

I wouldn't buy a set outright myself... I'm getting some as part of a deal, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Hmm. So will the AFE ProDry S filters I bought for my normal non-ROW airboxes fit the ROW ones? I would assume yes but I hate being wrong and figuring it out later.

yes all of that is exactly the same, the difference is no charcoal filter and a larger air intake port that connects to the intake tube.

My car did absolutely nothing with the ROW boxes and AFE dry filters. Even with long tubes I made 25 more whp then a bone stock car. The supercharger was the only thing that actually did anything worth while.

Row Box

I have had good gains with 93octain tune and MBH Header.
I did the row mods what a mistake. I bought the actual row box and have had Better low end TQ. Most of all the better response when you make the 6.2 Hammer work. I enjoy the true roots of NA could never force feed such an iconic motor.
