Yet another ipod question
I know I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but I can't find the answer I'm looking for. I have Command and the ipod cable in the glove box. The problem I have is it's so damn quiet! The volume is up all the way on my ipod, and I have to crank it to get any sound.
I've read about the updated adapter with the inline amp, but when I took that part number to the dealer, I was told it's no longer available.
Anyone have any other options? I can deal with not having info on command screen, but the volume issue is a real downer!

What about a third party adapter? Have you taken it to a shop that focuses on sound system installs? They might know a solution and maybe can find a third party adapter for you, if thats the main issue.

I have not yet... unfortunately I travel every week for work and I'm only home on the weekends. Had the car for just about two weeks now and only driven it on the weekends when I'm home. I will try that though, thanks!

there should also be a volume boost selection in the command also. Does it play loud in other devices? Ive seen some ipods have strange volume differences between songs and artists that were changed in itunes aswell. There's also the possibility that the chord is screwed up too.

You could always try running it from bluetooth. Boost function is available through bluetooth.
I don't know if all C63's with the upgraded HK sound system are like this, but my 2012 C63 P31's treble is really sharp. To the extent it hurts my ears. I have to have it at -10 to be able to bare it at higher volumes. Same song on my S550 with HK system wasn't like that.

I have Command with the IPod cable and it works great. I can get plenty of volume and I have never had to turn up the iPod itself. In fact, when you hook up the iPod through the 30 pin connector, normally the iPod volume has no effect. For some reason did you hook up the iPod through the headphone jack?

I have a feeling I have a bad cable. It is certified so I'm going to try to get them to replace it for me.
