trunk mercedes star emblem question
how are you supposed to pop this piece out? i purchased a black one, and need to install.

Open the trunk an take the trunk panel out an you"ll figure it out from there.

I just did this myself, removed the emblem, painted it black and reinstalled.

I used fishing line about 15lb breaking strain. I fed it behind the outer ring and worked it so it was as close to the centre as possible. There are three moulded pins on the back pushed into rubber type grommets. Try to get the fishing line under on of the star arms and gently pull towards you, keep working it evenly and it will pop out, job done worked a treat.

Just pry it out. I just sticks in with grommets. If you have a replacement you don't really have to worry about breaking it.
