Headlight Washers?
Mythical little gadgets that I can't see working. I know they are there, but when do they work?
They are like gremlins that only come out to play when they want to ... I think.

Yes, they come out every 10th time. When you pull your washer arm to clean your windshield, they will come out on the 10th time that the procedure happens. Just make sure you have them. You can pull back the spring loaded access panel yourself and look inside to see if you in fact have the spray assembly. It is a black arm with two half spheres pointing away from each other, with two spray tips on the end. (I checked my 507 and we did not get them here in the states. Has been discussed already.)
If you do have them, have a friend operate the windshield wipers while you observe from outside the car to watch them in action.

Edit: just read the thread regarding the 507 situation. That's ridiculous! It's like bait and switch.

I know you did an edit and search,but..................
Yes!!!! Is that not ridiculous??? It makes no sense and is total BS. Absolutely bait and switch, but Canada got them. Cut outs and flaps are there, no washer assembly. And the 507 is supposed to be special. Hum? (I do love mine very much)

In Australia, any vehicle that has Xenons MUST have washers, as per our design standards.
The cars that dont have them (but have the cut outs- namely the 507s) are they optioned with Xenons?

Yes those 507s are optioned with xenons.
It's unfortunate but this happens time and time again with MB cars. Features get axed in the middle of the year and as the model years get newer only for them to be reintroduced with the first year of a new style. For example in mid 2014 MB started getting rid of the button to lower the rear headrests from the dashboard on the E. Of course it's something that 99% of customers won't notice but you're still getting less product than what you paid for and customers certainly aren't compensated for that (with a lower MSRP or an option to get them added back in).
So did they do anything for the 507 owners that complained?
