C63 Blk Series/CLA 45 AMG SEATS FIT 2008-2010 C63 SEDAN?
C63 Blk Series/CLA 45 AMG SEATS FIT 2008-2010 C63?
I have searched the forum for this topic but did not find it, so I'll start one..
In 2012 when the C63 Black Series unveiled at the Geneva Show it was displayed with some awesome race seats, but for some reason the U.S. Versions did not come with them because of some issue with DOT or some other agency that had a issue with them.. (attached photo below)
so 2 years later the U.S. VERSION OF the CLA 45 AMG have been fitted with those seats. (attached photo below)
My question is: does the CLA 45 AMG have the same seat rails as the 2008-2010 C63 Sedan? for a easy unbolt/bolt installation without cutting any wires... besides the CLA 45 AMG SEAT not having adjustable headrest ther will just be a extra plug under the seat?

The BS seats look like they are fixed back seats. Those CLA seats, especially the version 1, look amazing! I'm curious as well. The bolsters are too tight in the Lat area, even for a 5'8" Asian like myself.

First of all, the C63 BS "Geneva Show Car" and the CLA45 seats are not even remotely similar. The first look like Sparco or Recaro racing buckets that have been re-covered in alcantra and stamped with an AMG logo on the headrest. The CLA seatd are normal street car seats - airbags, adjustments and all, with a little bit of shiny plastic and fake four-point harness holes to make them look more sporty.
Because of the airbag placement differences between coupes, sedans and different vehicle models, if you want to legally drive your car on the road, then the answer is no - they are not interchangeable. If on the other had you want it for off-road track use, you can put whatever seats you want in there after you install the mandatory roll cage with an anti-submarine bar for the shoulder harnesses...
P.S. Those are Recaro Pole Position racing buckets in the C63 Geneva Show car.

The seats in the CLA look very similar to the Recaro Sportster CS's.
You can definitely get them to fit in the C63, but will lose airbag functions and power functions. Will also throw an error on your dash. You simply need to have brackets fabricated to bolt them in.
In all honesty I don't know why you would change the seats in the C63. They are some of the best seats fitted to a sport sedan ever. They are comfortable but also very supportive. The Fixed back variants are a pain in the *** "literally" with no reclining option, I would think it would be a b!tch to drive daily.
