E63 S or 507 sedan
Hey-
I have run into a big dilemma. I stopped by my local MB dealership after my trip to Porsche(I'm waiting on a GT3 RS). And lo-and-behold they had a E63S wagon in beautiful Palladium with black wheels and all options imaginable. It got me thinking..............should I go ahead and leave the C63 for this absolutely beautiful wagon. I ;love wagons and always have. I've wanted a MB wagon for a while and this one not only happens to be an E63, but an S as well. It had 5 miles on the clock. They didn't want to put more miles on it, but since I had bought 5 cars from them, they let me drive it. OH man!!! What a ride. So roomy and comfortable, with so many interior options to deal with. And then the power. It was unbelievable!!!! It was so docile, but when I engaged the AMG menu, it was a *******g rocket. So much power and the delivery was so quick. The think is an absolute beast...AND it's a wagon!!!!!
I have $15 invested into the C, they offered my $50k for it so not sure what to do. Sticker was $107k on the E. I am so torn. Any help from you guys?? I love driving the C and the light weight makes it so fun. But the boss of the wagon was unreal. It has the V8 biturbo. The thing moved like no other. What do you think??

E63 sedan, no way. But the wagon...I love wagons! If I had the coin, I would do it. You will have a GT3 RS as your other car anyways! Keep in mind I have never driven an E63 wagon, but based on it being a wagon and the sledgehammer of a car it is, I always get excited when I see one.

Guys-
I appreciate the feedback, but you all left something out. It's not just a E63, it's an EC63S. Big difference.
And yes, I agree. Regular sedan(EC63), I'd keep my C63, but it's a EC63S wagon and I LOVE wagons. I am so torn, nut leaning towards going for it. I'm just gonna miss my C63 507 soooooo much!!! They did only offer me $50k for a car I paid $80+ just last September.
But still......................a EC63S wagon. Come on!!!!

I've had 2 C63s and was recently trying to decide between getting another or stepping up to the E63. I decided to go with a '14 E63S and am so glad I did. It is an incredible car and I have absolutely no regrets. So, assuming the finance side makes sense to you, I'd say its a no-brainer, get the E. Good luck!

Ford Truck, 2014 C63 AMG 507
Does it have the 'pod' glued to the dash?
I still have a tough time with that. Next it'll be suctioned cupped to the window like a TomTom.....
Outside it does look sweet though !!!!

Take it for an overnight test drive if you can. Hard to tell from a brief drive if thats all you did. Having driven E63s on a track day, however, I would give it a miss. Has none of the character of the C63.
If you really want a hot wagon I would go the RS6, that is the pick of the hot wagons IMO.

I'm not a fan of the new E63S wagon/sedan at all. The new front bumper doesn't match the rest of the car in my opinion.
I would upgrade to the CLS63 in the background

GO FOR IT! I know I would if I was in your shoes. Fully loaded, ready to go and you like it. E63 S will find its way to my garage some time in the near future.
EDIT: I'm biased towards wagons as I love Mercedes Wagons.

I'm biased towards wagons as well. For years I've been trying to think of how to get a C63 wagon over here. Forged papers or slipping someone money, I thought of all kinds of scenarios. I have to say, it is very well built, solid as can be, very, very fast, but just not as "racy" as our C63's. I am so in love with wagons that I fear that is my only reason for wanting it and that I might be disappointed in the long run.

In addition, they also had this, an E63 sedan with the PP, notice the red calipers. It was amazing as well and really moved. But I have to say, I'm just in love with the wagon. But that is on pure desire. If I really objectively look at it, as it is a $100k investment, I need to be rational about it. It;'s hard to decide, but that E63S wagon is just killer. And this sedan was a joy to drive and offers a lot more room than the 507.

Yeah, they won't let me take it overnight, I already asked. I do love wagon's but that is what I feared. It has non of the "fighter" in it like our C's do. Problem about the RS6, it's not here in the states. Another one of those, the rest of the world get's it, but we don't. I'm really curious of your track day opinions. On the street it felt great!!! But I can understand your point and can kind of visualize.

On the track day I went on they had C63 507s, E63s, SL63s, and CLS63s. I must admit I was left a little flat by all the other models other than the C63. Although all of them are very capable cars, they just seem to lack a spark, something that makes them special to drive. Thats my opinion, and I'm sure others vary, which is why I suggest you get more time behind the wheel of an E63 before you take the plunge.

That wagon is gorgeous. I'm a huge wagon lover myself. The rarity factor of the E63s wagon and the fact that they had one in stock for you to drive is tempting. See what numbers they're willing to do for the wagon, since they seem pretty set on the number for your trade in.

All E63 wagons are S models and they are completely bad@$$. My dealer had a sedean and it was really nice and tempting, but I'd want the wagon. Did they really only offer you 50 for you 507?
