Foglight HID > Stock HELL
Hi all, I'm in foglight hell...
Previous owner of my '08 C63 AMG put a HID Kit on this car. After troubleshooting I'm guessing it's the Ballast' that have failed.
Regardless I just want to go back to stock rather than messing with installing new ballast.
When they mounted the new bulbs they modified the housing that keeps the bulb securely held into place (the piece you turn to lock the bulb in). So the factory clips no longer secure into this critical piece.
MB Dealership can only supply this piece from a complete new Fog lamp housing. Any ideas on this? I was thinking about ordering a cheaper OEM foglight replacement and just harvesting the parts from this vs. $300+ a side for the whole assembly.
Anyone else gone from HID back to Stock?

I was looking at that site earlier- I'm wondering if there are other fog lamp assembly's out there that use the same lamp holder which are cheaper than ones for W204...also considering a junk yard but figured they wouldn't want me to pull that part and want to sell it as a unit (like the dealership)
