Tire Mileage entry MB Service Booklet

Hello I am looking at buying a used C63 at the moment. In the service booklet there are 2 entries for 2 separate services at a MB dealer. In the Service Reports section of the Service Booklet there is a section for "Tire Mileage" and entered by hand are 2 figures 3318 for the first service and then 2043 for the 2nd service.
Any one know what this means? It can't be the mileage on the odometer at the time of the service, given the most recent service was only a month ago and the 2043 mileage is nowhere near what is showing on the odometer.
Do they measure tread depth or something and then calculate how much tire wear/tire life remaining??

The only thing I see in my service book relating to tires is rotations. The C63 has staggered tire fitment and are not rotated. Not sure what the entries in your service book are referencing.

Weird. Service Booklet is for a 2013 model. It has choice of units - kms or miles, so not just for Australian delivered cars which would be kms only.

Maybe it's the mileage the tire did between services?
At what mileages were the services?

That is what i don't know. The actual mileage is not recorded in the service (nor is there a section for mileage to be entered) and there is no service department receipts available.
The only thing I do know is there is 12K miles on it now, the car first registered in early 2013 and then services at Jan 2014 (mileage unknown) and again in July 2014 (when the car was traded in at a MB dealer) before finding its way to a car wholesaler where i have just looked at it.
It also has "odd" tires on it ie Contis CS 5P on front and Yokohoma Advan on the rear, all with plenty of tread suggesting have been replaced at least once since the car new.
I will quit the speculation and contact the dealer service department

Rang the dealer service department. They have no idea what it means either, they just put in the mileage as per the odometer. I had been misreading the handwritten entry for the 2nd service, should be 20430 km which makes sense with the current mileage.
