Extended warranty in Sydney
To my fellow Aussies, Can anyone please tell me if we can get extended warranty for our C63s in Sydney? I have contacted several dealers and they say they have extended warranty for all Mercs except AMGs.
I am thinking of keeping my car for another 2-3 years but will be risky if no extended warranty.

I got 1 year extended warranty on a C63 "thrown in" when I bought the car as a demonstrator from MB Hornsby ie on top of the balance of the new car 3 year warranty.
I was told at the time that an extended warranty could be purchased closer to warranty expiry as long as the car had a full MB service history. I believe this was a MB warranty not a 3rd party job.
I am pretty sure that you can't get a MB warranty extended once it has expired, you might be able to get a 3rd party warranty but this would be expensive and once you read thru the fine print cover next to nothing.

Unless you are in the potential head bolt failure range I would not think it was worth it. They usually cost a few grand a year, and tend to have limited coverage. So besides a head bolt failure, I'm not sure you could get your money's worth.

Thanks everyone for your help. when I contacted the dealers they said yes initially but when they refer to their service department they came back and informed me that the extended warranty only applies to non-AMG vehicles.
